Are you going to a Christmas party? - christmas party

There is one Christmas party that I can go to that the volunteer organization I belong to is having but I don't really think I'm going to go. I've got the spirit but I'm just not into partying right now. I know I should go just to show my face...lol...but it takes a lot to get me out of my apartment. Are you planning on going to any Christmas parties? Is it work, school or family related? Are you looking forward to it?

The prospect sounds good, ctry, but I have made no plans to attend any parties yet. It has been a couple of years since I went to one so maybe this year will be the one. It's hard for me to get out also, but once I get out I will usually enjoy myself. The only parties I attend are family ones, or a gathering here at my apartment complex.

Yes, we are a lot alike...too bad for us huh? I don't really call it a party when my family gets together...it's more like a brawl! lol...

My partner's company party is coming up but I really don't feel much like going to be honest. I know I will have to drag out my glad rags and paint on a smile but I am not in the mood to go. Perhaps once we get there things will be a bit better but company parties always leave me feeling very much an outsider and I get bored.

I know how you feel about 'paintin on a smile' but I'm sure once you get there you will feel a lot different.

Yes, I have three christmas partis to attend, and thats on December 14, 15 and 16 and I have another christmas party on the 18th. Wow thats means a three days in a row eating great food and drinks. It would also mean contributions, gifts to buy and a busy shopping of gifts for the exchanging of gifts, thats what I like during the christmas season all the lovely things to buy and the great food and the spirit of sharing.

Well I just hope I don't have any catastrophes this time. I had to miss out on my friend's Halloween party cause I had such pain in my shoulder it wasn't funny. So now my friend will be having her Christmas party, but AFTER Christmas on Jan. 5th. She figures having a party after Christmas is actually better and more relaxing, since by then Christmas is over and no one is frantically getting things ready, or doing shopping.

I think a party after Christmas AND New Years is an awesome idea. Everyone is so busy during those times and it will be fun to relax when it's all over.

Well, my part time job has parties all the time for the clients.I often end up at those, with clients of course. I skipped out on the one for staff and their families. I do not know of any real parties I am invited to, so I guess not. I was supposed to sing in a cantata today, after a soup luncheon, and getting together with my choir buddies is a party for me anytime. Again, nothing big really. I work for a school district, and there will not be any party for me there, other than the traditional Friday goodies. I am not a real party person, although I am wearing my Santa hat around the house today, and I love the seasonal trappings. I like to be at home as well. I am out too much of the time.

Last year I was invited to my sister's office party. It was held at a pub near her work and I had a great time so I am going to this years party too.It isn't a traditional holiday party. It is more like a informal get together at a local bar. There are dart boards and a pool table and best of all there is a big screen t.v. So if you don't really feel like mingling, you can watch some t.v.

oh yeah. i'm looking forward to our office Christmas party. ^__^ every year i always look forward to it because its always fun and because i can dance!!! LOL me and some of my officemates would always prepare a dance number as an intermission number and sometimes they would make it a special contest between all the performers. we already won twice. ^__^ and then, for this year, i'm also excited because i am the committee chairperson for the games! that would be so much fun! me and my members already have thought of some few games that would really produce laughter and are really challenging. ^__^ you should go to your Christmas party. it happens once in a year and who knows, it maybe worth going to. ^__^

My husband has a Christmas party at work. It's at the only four star hotel in the area (well, it's at their restaurant, nothing funky going on!). We got a copy of the menu today, should be good food (though way over our budget at $20 bucks a plate, good thing the company is paying!) It should be fun, hopefully we can find a babysitter so we can go...
