What exactly is mylot about?

When I first joined I thought it was a place where you earned a few pennies for carrying on discussions with friends and others. The more I'm here it looks like we're supposed to ask questions and reply to others to earn a few pennies. I see nothing wrong with asking and answering questions. But to me that's not carrying on discussions. To me having a discussion means someone ask a question or makes a statement and your friends or others reply back and forth about it till the discussion runs it's course. I hope I'm making sense. I just think mylot would be more interesting if we had more actual discussions going on. And they gave those few pennies for asking, replying and comment to. What do you think? What were you expecting when coming to mylot?

Some of us do carry on more of a discussion than others do, and the fact is, if a discussion has more "chatter" it tends to earn more. It takes all of us replying back and for to make a discussion, though. Sometimes you do get an extra point for a comment. We do sometimes have more discussion and less post to pay. It just seems to depend on whose responses you are answering.

Thanks Gerty. I'm gonna have to look around better I guess to see if I can find more actual discussions to participate in. First I'm gonna take a break and get me some potato soup to eat.
