Well the Weather Is Frightful Out There..

Let it snow, let it snow. Why do we like this Christmas song so much? I gotta say old man winter didn't let us down this weekend, and it's not over with yet. I tried my best to get to work this afternoon, but it didn't happen. I had the car shoveled out early and was ready to got to work for 3pm. Only a short 3 hour shift today. Then Bam at 1:30pm it started to rain. I said to myself no way am I travelling over these hills to get to work for a 3 hour shift. My whole ride to work are hills. So at 2:20pm I called my boss and told him I couldn't make it in. We had already talked about it last night at work, and he said it would be ok if I could not make it in. I told him I'd do the best I could, but I couldn't. My boss is not expecting the weekday cook to show up on Monday as she lives in the country. Anyway I felt lost today. I've been at my job 6 months and have not called in at all and never been late (always early). Good thing I've been there everytime he needed me to cover other shifts. So how is eveyone else out there dealing with this weather? Did you go to work or stay home?

I live in Winnipeg up in Canada and we get wicked winters. But the last three days have been fairly nice. As of tonight though we are expecting a snow blizzard. There is a warning out and they are saying we are going to get 40 centimeters of snow. If it snows that much we won't be going anywhere for a couple days. I sure hope by christmas we will be able to get out or it will really ruin a lot of plans.

This is an easy question I stayed at home and worked because I work from home. I live in central California and we do not get snow. It is rainning here today so I did appreciate that I did not have to go out.
