Fake tan

Australia
December 18, 2007 8:57am CST
Few days ago me and my friend got this cool deal on the internet for sun creams and got bomus a fake tan (spray) so we decided to try it on me. I sprayed on my arm and nothing happened 30 min later we did it again and still nothing so we forgot about it. In the morning I noticed that it did work and now it looks shocking as it is not even. How do I remove it or make it fade?????

Hi violeta-va:) Oh boy,you have to let it naturally leave by washing that area alot.Only time will fade it back to your natural skin color.I tried this once and never did again, its like a dye that dyes your skin and sometimes never comes out even, especially at the knees, elbows and under arms.Just wash it alot wish some mild face soap or face cleanser,it should leave i a couple of days, haha.Sorry:( Peanutjar:)P.S:Dont feel bad,i put some on one time and it turned my skin into a CARROT color, ugh!!!I looked like a freakin' giant carrot, hahaha!

I forgot sorry that you can wash it alot BUT apply moisturizer to that area after or you can buy a face effolient mask that you can use on your spot to help slough away the tan.:)

Oooooooh!!!!!! That is so funny... I just love children experimenting with things... Well... you could spray your arm again... evenly this time... and see if it turns black... Or you could buy a can of fake white skin to spray your arm with. Did you read the instructions? Or didn't they give you any? The stuff is probably a pigment which is absorbed by your skin and will only fade away after being washed numerous times over a period of time. It is a bit like colouring your hair... you cannot just wash it away the next day. Or can you?

Try useing body scrub on the area every time you shower to help exfoliate away the dyed skin. I don't think there is any other way to remove fake tan.....except maybe a product from Loreal, but I don't know if that works on all fake tan or just on thier fake tan product. The onyl other thing i can suggest is to try to even it out by useing it on the rest of your body but skipping the area you already did.

I wont be able to do the rest of my body as when we sprayed the first time we sprayed it on one spot more than the rest so it would still be different. I will use body scrub tonight to try and get it out as much as posible and I will look for the loreal thing you mentioned to have it if we make a mistake next time.

lemon juice is supposed to help it fade more. Or you can go to a store and buy a cream that helps remove it. You have to be careful with those creams there hard to get them not to be streaky.

it was a spray in a can and I was suprised how good it looked (in the places that I didth stuff up) it was a strange feeling the first 5-10 min than it was ok. I am having it done toomorow on my whole body so I hope I dont have to take it off.
