A White Christmas

Well early December brought a lot of snow to Minnesota & we are definitely going to have a white Christmas this year. Plus we are now being forcast snow of a couple inches possible for Saturday as well. So it's going to be a pretty Christmas for sure. I hate when we have a "brown" Christmas. It just doesn't seem right? Our temps here in Minnesota have been below normal for the whole month until yesterday. Now the temps are going to be just above normal or very near normal. Normal temps for us in December is 25 degrees farenheit. We had a few days beklow zero temps this month already. But none like I recall back in the late 70's when we had a string of 20 below and colder temps for 2 weeks. Do you want a White Christmas? Do you have much snow now on the ground?

I'm here in Wisconsin and we have a nice amount of snow, butr now today it's supposed to be pretty warm like in the 30's. I guess it's supposed to be warmer all week. Hopefully if you get hit by a snowstorm we will get some of that here too. I love it when it's a white christmas because it reminds me of all the christmas' when I was a child growing up here. A few years ago we didn't have any snow on the ground when the holidays rolled around and it just seemed so strange. I didn't like that. Keep your fingers crossed for a little more snow for all of us up here:)

Yeah it's been in the higer 20's here for a couple days and supposed to be in the 30's this weekend but with some snow Saturday and flakes on Sunday. But we've enough on the ground that we will have a white one. Unless we get into the 40's a few days. No chance of that though.

Not much snow yet here in Greece, and that that exists stays on high altitude. However, some snow is expected next 2-3 days, i doubt if it will be enough to cover the ground though. Its about 2-5 Celsius now, really cold, and wind makes the feeling even colder. I like Christmas with snow, but since i spend them at my country house, it might be difficult to return to the house at the city, if there is snow and frost.

I'd love to visit Greece and see the mountains.
Especially with the light snow on them.

True. Plus a lot of stores seel the artificial snow in spray cans
for windows etc as decorations. I use that ever so often for a nice effect on the windows indoors of the house. very pretty actually.

I sure do want a white Christmas. We have a few inches down due to some snowfall that we had a few days ago. They promised about 8 inches last weekend but it turned into a bit of a dud - we maybe got 3 or 4.
We are currently, as I write this at 13 degrees. It is my day off, but as luck would have it, I have to go into work this morning. They always plan meetings on my days off. I really do not feel like going out in the cold, but the snow makes it ok.

I am happy for you that you are going to have a white Christmas - the snow makes it just perfect, doesn't it?
I would love to see a white Christmas, but as I live in the tropics of Australia, it's not going to happen!! I remember white Christmases when we lived in Scotland, and as a child, it always seemed so magical to me; I remember the first thing I did Christmas morning was look out the window to see if it had snowed! Then I used to scrape the frost off our window panes, it was so cold, even inside! Happy memories.
I hope the snow stays nice for you and that you have a wonderful Christmas Granpa Bob!

I could not handle living where there's no snow. Id have to climb the highest mountain to see some for sure. Christmas isn't the same to me withput snow on the ground. I love the frosty windows also. Except on the car before I drive anywhere. HAHAHA!! It's going to be white here.

By now if I read more of your discussions I will know for sure if you had a white christmas. It must be very pretty to be surrounded by fluffy white snow on Christmas Day, even if it is freezing cold.
We had perfect weather on Christmas Day (yesterday). It was 28 degrees celcuis. Couldn;t be better. No rain, no wind. Just beautiful.
Today., Boxing Day, is a little warmer. We are going to a bbq shortly at my cousins house.

Oh I'll keep in. In fact I may even hoard it. Hee hee. Guess it all depends on what one is used to as far as snow and the holidays. Thanks and gimme some snow if you happen to get any. HAHAHAHA!!

We had a good snow last Friday I would say we got about 6 inches there is snow in the forecast again for this weekend in Nebraska so we will be having a white Christmas as long as we don't get the ice storm and be without electricy for 2 weeks again this year I will be happy with the snow.

A couple weeks ago we got about a foot in a couple different storms. Still have about 6 inches or more left. Hopiing for some fresh snow before Christams though.

In my driveway I have snow about the size of my car. I'm in Montreal and it has gotten crazy over here. We had a snow day yesterday and today the roads are still not clear. It's really dangerous driving out there. This is my first white Christmas and I'm starting to love it. It's about 16 degrees and lower outside and It gets dark and 4:30pm.
Happy Holidays to you GRANDPA BOB!!!
