i learnt when i was in primary school. yes it was a good experience. it is always better to learn swimming when you are young. especially for girls. they tend to get self conscious when they are older. it is also more physically inconvenient to schedule lessons.
i liked my swimming teacher, and we also learnt basic lifesaving skills.

I've learned swimming in my senior school.
We have swimming lesson in the summer holiday.
Every of us should swam 30 metres to pass the exam.
It was my first time to learn swimming. At the beginning, I was a little nervous. But luckily our teacher was very friendly. So we became good friends, and I pass the exam finally.
It was really good memory in my mind.

I learned to swim in our village pond. There were need one person to look after if I may not sink in the deep water. At first time one person need to guide how to swim otherwise you can do it in any swimming pool where water is not much and you have no scope to sink. To swim your wish will drive to learn it.

When I was a young child the school I went to had an outdoor swimming pool. It was lovely to use in the warmer months but miserable when the weather got cold. I didn't have very much confidence although I had weekly swimming lessons. I just didn't learn to swim with the lessons. When I was about 10 years old I was on holiday by the sea. I was in the sea and I was in a bit of a panic because I had gone out a bit too far. Wow! I just started swimming then at that moment. It felt wonderful to finally be able to swim. I swam with my head always out of the water. My swimming didn't get very fast but I learned to swim quite a long way. I am pleased that I did learn to swim. I love to travel to tropical places and snorkel coral reefs. I got swept out to sea a bit and this was scary whilst snorkeling in Samoa. I swam in a semi circle not too much against the tide. I was lucky to get back in to the shore with my swimming.
