I won't be surprised if this discussion is deleted...but I just had to voice my opinion here. As many of us know, our good friend Terry was banned from here due to NO FAULT of her own but by the vicious attacks by someone, a stalker/troll. Many of us did writing campaigns to try to get her back but we were ignored. Terry did nothing wrong and she should have been brought back into the MyLot community. She was a cherished friend to many of us.
Both gabs and I got private emails from her stating that she was closing her account as it was frustrating her that she could indeed "log in" but could respond to discussions or start her own. She got more and more depressed that she continued to get email alerts from her friends that they started discussions but could do nothing about it.
Well here's what's got me fuming. If you go to her profile page her cute little snoozing dog avatar no longer exists..Her page has been "cleaned"...many of us had left comments on her profile page that we were thinking of her...they no longer are there! Instead of "send message" it now says "add as friend"--that's a joke...but that also means we can't leave anymore comments on her page--okay okay, she's not a member here anymore and she closed her account. But I'm sorry I think it's a real insult that now we can't even leave remembrance comments to her even though she won't see them, that's not the point..
Others who have been banned or closed their accounts but are on our friends list we can still access if we want, and heck if we want to leave comments we still can as a memory to them. Now I even noticed she's still not on my friends list...WHILE others who have closed their accounts or been banned are...what's the freaking deal here? Is it just me? Am I the only one pi$$ed off about this latest insult to her memory??

I don't know exactly what happened but all I can say is I have never emailed mylot without getting a reply back from them. I had a problem with someone one time and they took care of it as far as I know because after emailing them the problem went away. Personally, I think all the discussions about this are just making the "troll" happy and coming out the winner. I'm sorry that this had to happen to terry but I learned by being banned one time to just let things go whether I liked it or not. Now I don't bother with these people and just go my merry way. We can't take everything so seriously here and have to realize there are people who will try to cause problems so just stay away from them and we will be fine.

We lost a good one.
The worst part is some of the members that "get it" are GONE!!
Check this out. I may not be the best member, but I've been 120% since I've been here. I even have numerous BRs, high quality posts, discussions and discussion sparking in other people's discussions. What happened to Terry and a couple of others... paints a discouraging picture. Or maybe mylot just wants to be a forum of "I liek poniez" discussions and clowns. I really can't get my head around this one. -_-

Yes programer we did lose a great friend here. What is maddening is that so many of us wrote to MyLot in her behalf, and even she was able to email them, but none of us got any replies

After the years at being third-in-command at cashglow.com from 9/12/2001 thru its demise in 2004, I have learned a lot. However since then, I have learned some new things.
I would also thank the admins & moderators of mylot for teaching me some useless lessons. Those useless lessons are not only how to take a good site & run it into the ground. It's how to run it six feet UNDER ground.

Yes I am thinking of quitting as well...I thought Mylot was above the other sites and treated their members with a bit of respect but apparantly not,I am in thinking mode at the moment...the time we put in to this site is worth a bit of respect I feel.....

I wrote to MyLot one more time and this is what I said. It may sound a bit harsh but it's the truth regardless. I hope something comes of it but I seriously doubt it.
I'm writing in regards to TerryZ in which she has been banned and now has closed her account due to not recieving a response from you after several attemps at emailing you in regards to this. A lot of people are very upset over her being banned for she was accused of doing things that she did not do. Instead she was stalked time and time again and this troll reported her with lies in which you seem to believe which caused her to be banned.
A lot of people are thinking of leaving MyLot because of this for it's lost it's appeal for the losers are winning and the winners are losing. MyLot has become a lower kind of community in which the good of us don't want any part of. My suggestion is to look a little deeper into things before taking sides of one person or another before banning anyone for one doing the reporting may be the one that is causing the trouble. Get proof before deciding who's to blame for you're losing a lot of good people and getting more and more of the bad.
I'm not telling you what to do for it's a suggestion however, what ever decision you make is what you want for a community for MyLot.

Sorry to hear about this! Did myLot respond to any of the written requests to re-instate Terry? Is there a way to show who was stalking her(?) and screwing up her status here? I wish that something will be done about this. Maybe persistent proving of Terry's innocence will get myLot to change their mind about this stupid situation. My sympathies and support go out to all of you and Terry.

No, mylot didn't respond to any of our emails, nor did they even answer terry's emails. And yes, us insiders knew her stalker, but nothing was done against this person

That's really unbelievable! I thought customer service was one of the most important aspects of any site or business. How else does one take care of issues that need addressing? This is very strange and discouraging. Makes me wonder why it is worth using this site over another one if we all are subject to dismissal without explanation or a chance to correct an issue. Sounds more like a policy from Putin.

Well, anyone here who has me on their Friends list, please message me and tell me the identity of the stalker. I shall be very happy to send a complaint to whoever I can find on the staff. MyLot should, at least, have concern enough for its regular and *valued* users to be able to give some explanation. Even Yahoo (huge as they are) have a concern for Customer Satisfaction and will respond (eventually)!

It is a shame that she has decided to close her account, due to some stupid vicious attacks. We will miss her, she has started some very good discussions. I could not find her on my friends list either.

Well this Stalker did her job well hasn't she and I have just checked she is not on mine any more either which I am very pi**ed of about as I would have liked to have kept there
Well I don't care who reads this but I will save the Job for the Stalkers as I will not be here much longer myself after this I do not want to belong to a Site that is not a fair Site
And if these "nice" People want to get me banned that is fair do as well but all I will say to you sad People that seem to enjoy to stalk GET A LIFE and I will say to Mylot is start taking notice what is going on here start appreciating the older Members on here as they are the Members that helped you build this Site and let me tell you most of the newer Members will help you ruin the Site

You're not the only one that's pi$$ed off about it. For us to all be ignored after sending email upon email to admin is just wrong. Just like it's wrong for TerryZ to be banned because of someone else being stupid and petty and causing problems. I have loved it here, and have a lot of wonderful friends that I refuse to abandon. But things like this are putting a damper on everything here, and I don't like it one bit. Now we can't even comment in memory of her being here! Talk about a put down! This garbage needs to stop!

Please tell TerryZ, I am sending my love and wish her a Merry Christmas for me please. I missed all of why she is gone now I know she has a stalker and I just dont understand why some people have to be that way and just leave others alone if they have a problem with them. They need to just go about their business and act like adults. I love your support changing your avatar to hers. I have not been here for a few days and was a bit confused when I logged on this morning and didnt see your cat. LOL. Big Hugs to you and TerryZ xxoo

Well, it hasn't been deleted yet. I don't personally know Terry but with all that has happened to her account here, just too weird. I have a few friends myself, one of which has gave up on mylot, who have been banned. She created one account only to have something happen with it, then created another. Even thou she no longer can log into them, they are still on my friend's list and still have access to them. Maybe she can create another account and hope nothing happens to it?

Give her some time away from here. She may change her mind later. Besides, we are pretty hard to resist and she's really going to miss her friends here. :-)
The avatar change is not only going to drive mylot nuts but I'm gonna start seeing lil puppy dogs in my sleep. lol

I really don't know what to say here, pyewacket, except that I am sorry your friend has been treated in such a shabby fashion. I still have a lot to learn about the workings of MyLot, but I feel that it is like when they fire you from a job. You at least deserve to know why you are being let go. I hope you will be able to stay connected with your friend regardless.

I am not sure who the member was I will look her up so I can see what you are talking about I just wanted to say that some people do behave like kids here that make good members go away I dont know why my lot people will not write to you I have contacted them so many time and get an answer within 24 hours and they were very nice and polite with me and very helpful expecially when I made a mistake about my acount and paypal they had it done asap.

Has she tried to come back under a new name? I know that is discouraged, but there is one poster who was banned who has come back many times. And she wouldn't have to tell anyone, she could just e-mail you and anyone she cared to, and mylot would be none the wiser. Mylot could easily read this message, but they still won't know what name she came back as.

Well yes I know that. But they don't look for that. If they did, certain posters wouldn't be here right now posting. But since they were banned, and came back, mylot has not bothered to trace them. But thanks for trying to tell me I'm wrong. It takes all kinds.

First of all arr_781984, that's not necessarily true about the IP...I know quite a number of users here who are wife/husband teams for instance that have separate accounts but use the same computer and IP address

I don't know Terry well but from her few responses to my discussions she doesn't seem like someone who would hurt anyone's feelings. I don't know if she did this to someone, she might have made someone angry, but I wonder if that is enough to ban her. I mean from time to time all of us could be a little bit stingy and get into trouble with other members, but mylot sure has a limit on how far it could go before the member is banned.
By the way I need to remind you that several months ago there was a post about not posting dog pictures because it is not allowed. I don't remember the poster or whether it was a discussion or a response to a discussion, but I remember reading it. But you said she was banned because a troll attacked her, so this dog picture thingy might not have anything to do with it. I hope mylot will explain what happened and reply to your emails. I'm curious about this myself.

I don't know what to think anymore, except that I'm very sad about this, as I know Terry is. I'd added her to my friends list, in hopes of getting to know her when she got back, and yes, she's gone from my list as well. I've contacted admin., in the past, regarding a couple of things, and also on behalf of a member who was having problems getting into their account. I received an answer in every case, and the member in question was reinstated. I don't understand what's different this time, and why there can't be a resolution here. It's almost been a year here for me, and I've loved it. I'm just so sad, and disappointed in this.:(

No, Pye, you're not the only one pi$$ed off about this, it's a travesty. No one knows yet what her alleged "violation" was? I sure don't understand why her page has been cleaned like that when, as you've said, others who have left or been banned still have their pages here. I've also written to myLot, with no answer of course. I'd hate like heck to lose this place or my many friends here, but it would be even worse to have more "taken" from me so unfairly. Please, myLot Admin, if you're reading this, please at the very least let us know what the story is here!

myLot has been suspending the good ones at the expense of the community.
Meanwhile, the trolls, stalkers and the blatant copy/pasters are the ones still here, making this place a crappy place to be. myLot is suspending the wrong people on here. The people like Terry who actually make it fun are the ones who should stay.
The trolls that reported her, among others, are the ones who don't deserve to be here.
