They say that there is enough softner in a sheet for you to use it twice. I do sometimes and my clothes seem just about as soft and static free as when I use it the first time. Do you use your dryer softner sheets twice? And do you have other uses for them?

I only use dryer sheets when I have something in the dryer that will have static. You need to be carefull when using dryer sheets. They can cause a build up of film on the lint catcher. I read this on line so I took my lint screen and put ewatter on it and sure enough it held water. so I washed it out good. When this screen gets clogged it can cause the dryer to catch fire. I also use the used one in the trash cans.

I use dryer sheets for a lot of things, and some of them are already mentioned here. I like putting them in things that I'm storeing for a while, like sweaters, sleeping bags, my flannel sheets and blankets when summer is here. I use them in my car as an air freshener. I have not tried this one, but I've been told that they work really good if you have a lot of electricty in your hair or clothes the you are wearing, just rub the dryer sheet over your hair or clothes. I also like putting some under my couch and love seat cushions. Another thing I do with them is clean the lint out of the lint screen in my dryer. I always save the used ones, they can always be used for something.

I only use the dryer sheets once. My body is so full of electricity and need all the help I can get so I don't shock everything in sight. Have tried to use a sheet twice but didn't seem to have the same effect on the clothes. I only use dryer sheets for clothing but it seems to me I hear something about being able to use them as bug repellent by rubbing the sheet on the arms and legs. They are also good to place in the bottom of a trashcan.

Hope it helps if you use it as a repellent next summer. I've never tried it but others have told it that it does work.

I'll have to try it next summer when the misquitoes are bad and see if it works! Thanks Carol

Dryer sheets can be used almost anywhere I've found. I've used them before in closets as airfresheners, even have put them in garbage cans too. The same with liquid fabric softener. I've learned to soak a paper towel with some and line the bottom of a garbage can with it so the garbage doesn't smell as bad.

i put them on the bottom of my swifer mop, (dry mop), and it picks up the dust really well,, just for inbetween cleanings. works great.. i also put them in my dresser drawers to keep things smelling "just washed" for a long time.

I won't use them twice in a dryer, but I do use them to clean lamp shades with 'slats.' Lamp shades that aren't one single form collect dust, even if we can't see it. Use a dryer sheet on it once and people will be surprised what they find. I also use it to remove lint on anything I might be wearing at the time.

Both are very good ideas....I might stick one in my purse for taking lint off! Thanks so much!
