I am just curious here. How many of you fill a stocking for your pets for Christmas? I do. I figure if Santa fills a stocking for the kids, why should the animals be left out? I have 2 dogs. This year they are each getting a squeak toy, a packet of ourmet food, and some treats in their stocking. I spent less than 5 dollars total on it, but still they are getting stockings too. Do any of you fill a stocking for your pet too?

My big spoiled dog did get her stocking, full of all kinds of toys and goodies, and a present under the tree to unwrap, we spent just a bit over $5 it was more like around $40, lol did I mention she was spoiled lol. And since we were dogsitting my daughters dog, she had brought his stocking too, which was full as well.

Our dog and cat didn't get stockings, but they did get presents. I wrapped them and put them under the tree. The dog keeps stealing the cats ball though.

My furry kids don't get stockings but they do get several presents each to open as they see fit (scratching,tearing,ripping,barking/meowing, etc.). The newbies to the household will figure out what to do when they observe the seasoned gift unwrappers in action. lol We enjoy watching them open their presents more than we do opening ours.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Honestly I don't think my dogs are smart enough to open gifts on their own... however we did the stocking thing because 1)they are family too, and 2)My 4 year old said that we had to because Santa loves animals too... made sense to us! So of course they got some treats and squeaky toys and stuff like that.

yes I have a stocking for my dog every year and me and my mom put dog bones in it. We also buy her a new dog toy and wrap it so she can tear it open on Christmas day.

Thanks for the reply! That's basically what I am doing this year. Although this is the first year I am really doing a stocking for my dogs. I just figure that I might as well... it's nothing fancy... but why not?
