Have you met a Scrooge lately?

Some people think of Scrooge as someone who won't give presents, or as in the mickey mouse cartoon, someone who won't let their employees have a day off. Also there are those who just have to put a damper on anyone else's fun.
Today I managed to get on mylot for a while, and I read a response to my response to someone else's discussion. Hope you followed that, lol. Anyway, the first sentence was straight rude. This person obviously thought they knew what they were talking about, but I think they scanned it. Because even their rudeness didn't make sense in the context of my response. And I have to admit I had a little bit of 'blech' overrun my countenance. But I shook it off. I mean, I don't know this person, what do I even care what someone in la la land says to my response or someone else's (because I had seen another unflattering remark to someone else's discussion by this person)?
Then later I went to pick up some puppy pads (my dog will use them at night when it's too late or dangerous to take him out). I won't go into it, but a women who had her two grown children with her (fifty something lady) had a hissy fit and made everyone in line and the employees wait until she was done. While I waiting I had that same 'blech' feeling. You know, you don't want to feel like that, but it comes anyway? Once again, I put it into perspective and let it go. No one is going to ruin my Christmas.
I've seen some people's discussions and it appears others have been Scrooged. So, were you bothered by a Scrooge today, yesterday, or previous days leading up to Christmas?

In some way yes.....One of the gals I work with told everyone that the bells I wear for Christmas give her a migraine. So I wore them for a few extra days this year....I didn't want her to miss her yearly migraine! I don't let much bother me. My daughter in law came yesterday sick.....and this morning I thought there was something wrong. Come to find out that she didn't want to go to her parents...she wasn't really being a Scrooge...but was not happy about spending time with her parents at Christmas. Which I think was really too bad so I tried extra hard to make things special for her.

Not really. Not on My Lot. Of course I have had the occassional rude response, or plain silly response in the past, but not for quite some time.
Partly that is because I haven't started that many discussions over the past few weeks.
There are always going to be these scrooges on My Lot. Either ignore them, tell them off, or report them.
In real life, we are exposed to another scrooge. That is my husbands ex wife.

Nope, no one has been a scrooge to me. Or if they have I have not noticed them. I like your new avatar, it is bright and cheerful, and gives me a smile. I think I try to live my life being the anti-Scrooge, whether it is Christmas or not. If I see someone really having a bad go of it, I try to get to the bottom of it, and make it a little better. If I have to, though, I will be a silent witness, as you were forced to be. You know, you are right, nobody is going to ruin my Christmas, either.

I had that feeling last week. I was so wary that I deleted the respond to my posts, and then decided to just go on the friend's response or respond to the discussions that I got email notification from some of my friends to. When someone gets angry with me, I get real nervous and even though I know I will never see that person again I imagine that they know someone who lives where I live, etc.
It hurts when your discussion is misunderstood.

Actually it takes a lot to dampen my spirits, and I'm by no means a Pollyanna type..oh, yes sometimes I'll come across a discussion or remark here that just gets me no end, but it doesn't necessarily have to be only the days leading up and on Christmas.
Thinking back though, in general to all the days leading up to Christmas, nope I haven't be scrooged--thank goodness! :)
