When you see a hair that has detatched itself from your head (or someone else's), what do you do with it? Do you leave it there? Does it bother you being there? Do you throw it away? Does hair disgust you? What about finding hair in your food? Will you still eat the food?

Yuck! I definitely will not eat that food once I found a strand of hair in it. And I'm really bothered seeing fallen hair, mine or someone else's. My friend said I'm obsessive compulsive about it. As in, I just have to pick it off. I think they've gotten used to it.

I guess I must be obsessive compulsion, too, then! I have to pick those hairs off as well. I just can't stand to see them just hanging there in mid air not connected to anything. I think they're a waste of space so I have to take them off and either throw them on the floor or (preferrably) in the trash. I hate seeing them especially in the bathroom because that's where they tend to collect. It's disgusting. I completely agree with you.

I'm like you. If I see hair strands, I'll throw them away. It was a lot worse when my hair was longer. It seems like no matter what we do, the hair keeps falling! If I knew the hair was mine on my food, I'd remove it and still eat the food. You can basically tell what kind of hair it is, so of course there are certain kinds that you would not eat the food if you saw it there! Thanks for sharing.

Falling hair is a common matter, no body pluck hair for anyone to disturb or to share it for anything. So it may fall any time any where. If I see it is my gf's head hair or other places hair and have perfume I will collect it and store as a hobby item. If I see hair are from head but have no charm or perfume then I will through it in drain or water flowing pipe. If I find hair in food no problem if the hair from hair - I think hair from armpit of between body would not fall anywhere so food can be eaten without hesitation.

This is so true. Only head hair really falls anywhere. Of course, if I were you I would be careful what drain you're putting hair down because sometimes it can get clogged easily!

Generally, I'm the same way. Hair doesn't bother me unless it intrudes on a meal. Of course, if I'm almost certain the hair was mine, I'll just take it off and eat the food anyway since I know it's familiar hair (LOL). If I'm not sure, I'll just replace the food. Usually most fast food places will replace the food anyway just knowing there was hair in it.

ok no! Hair in my food gag! i draw the line there. Otherwise hair is pretty unavoidable. I have a long haired cat. And a dog. And a husband. Thankfully he is not too hairy. At home I generally clean it up and move on. Outside my home tend to avoid the hair thing. Can get icky.

I completely agree with you - hair at home is one thing, but outside of the house it's a totally different story! You also have control over how much hair is in your house (generally speaking), so that's definitely an advantage.

Utmost precaution is taken at home to wrap it up in a piece of paper and put it in dust bin. But somehow it escapes and found once a while in food. We cannot throw away the food. We just remove the hair and use the food. As you said, the sight of if bothers us. Since we clean the floors everyday, we see it rarely.

That's amazing how careful you are in your culture. I wish we were so careful as to keep things clean! Keeping the floor clean really keeps the hair away. I like how you reuse the food because I think it's such a waste to throw the food away just because there was one hair in it. I suppose it depends on personal preference as difference people experience different feelings when they see hair different places.

I'm like you. I can't stand seeing a hair just hanging out somewhere. I have to pull it off. I'm weird with hair on the food. If it's in my food and I think it's mine, I'll take it off (depending on where it is) and still eat the food. If it's someone else's or I'm just grossed out, I'll get a new meal. Usually most fast food places will recook food or something like that.

If I ever happen to luck upon hair that has been detached from someone elses head, I would not dare touch it. The reason for this is simple. If hair is detached from someone elses head, and I have no idea where the hair came from, their is no telling what was in the hair to begin with. It could be infested with all kinds of germs and bacterium. Seems like a hair-raising topic if you ask me. But it would bother me if it was there, just knowing that someone lost it. Hair does no disgust me. If I ever found hair in my food, there is no way on earth I would still eat the food. I mean, if I wouldnt pick up hair that is just lying there to throw it in the trashcan, then I doubt that I would eat food that has been infested with hair.

We have a small car. Yesterday one of our cats needed to go in for surgery and my Mom needed to go to the senior center. Poor hubby was crammed in the back with Mom's wheelchair. Mom ended up holding kitty in the carrier as she rode to town. Instead of saying I hope you come out of surgery okay kitty, Mom said: I hope I don't get cat hair on me! I said something unkind back cause really kitty needed all the positive energy possible.
