People are starting to get frustrated ...and I am one

I have read some posts here on mylot where some people are saying that they put up great posts and have little or no responses. I have been through that and I try to respond to posts even if they are not interesting or just lame. I even stroll to the section that says discussions with no responses to try to help out some people. Then you see posts on here where people are asking how or can you really make money on my lot and they have over 30 posts! Ridiculous. I am giving mylot one more month and if things dont change, im out. I refuse to keep waisting my time in a community where it seems no one really cares, all they want to do is read your post, ignore it or what have you. Is anyone else feeling this way?

I have a lot of discussions with less than 30...heck...less than 10 responses but I'm still happy with my earnings here. Since we really don't know how the algorythm works I think it has more to do with the amount of responses and discussions we do than the amount of responses we get. To me is seems like the responses we get have more to do with our ratings than our earnings.

I can imagine your frustration. I've just been going through my unresolved discussions and most are unresolved because there aren't any responses to them! It is frustrating...I also go through the section with discussions with no responses as regularly as I can...and it's not encouraging to see that most of my unresolved discussions have continued to remain that way. I'm going to try another strategy though...responding to more discussions from my "friends" and see how that goes-you know, actually looking more often at new discussions from people in my friends list and trying to respond more to those. Thanks for responding. It sad you even have to come up with strategies just to get some replies on here but its coming down to that. I just went to the "unreplied" section and posted to some regardless of how interesting I thought it was. But thanks again and good luck to you too.

well i can understand your frusteration. I dont get a whole lot of people that respond to all of my discussion either, but i find if you answer your friends discussions, they will take notice and they will start to respond to your discussions too. I try to respond to as many of my friends discussions as possible. Sometimes i know nothing about the topic, so i skip them. And i sometimes go to discussions with no responses as well.. but a lot of those have no responses for good reason! lol bad english no one can pretend to decipher, or something like that, but i try my best!

I understand your frustration. I feel the same way at times. I don't always get a lot of responses to my discussions. I have people on my friends list who have never responed to anything I've wrote, and they are the ones that requested me to be their friend, and I comment on their dissusions. There should be a club for this.

You are so right. Im just going to start posting real stupid posts and see how many responses I get from that. This begins to get so frustrating. I can go to other sites and post something and get numerous responses but the thing is there you dont get paid. I will continue to try this for another month.

your the second person complaining about getting frustrated with mylot but i am not one of them these words that i am saying is all from my head at least i got payment from them i reckon mylot should be frusrated with us mylot is a great site and i don't care what people say about mylot i will keep on saying how great mylot is i rather mylot to any other fourms if people are getting frustrated then why not leave then i dont much responses but i still keep on trying so one one is going to make me leave mylot

you are right. you are not only one I am also the one like you. Whatever well thought discussion i start here, i get very less responses here. And also have seen one liners and whatever be the topic few gets hundreds of responses to it.

Yes it disheartening in a way, but in my opinion and view I just keep going. I do know a few friends that have admitted some of my discussions can be rather "extreme". Others though are actually news feeds (with a little commentary) or they are a few fun discussions I thought of. Naturally the more simple discussions got more responses and the complex ones barely get responses. Even a few fun discussions didn't get as many responses. Again, I just keep going with my mylotting.

i have ever encountered this situation,maybe all of us hoping that our posts are paid attention. but the reason we stay in mylot maybe is that we are free to do what we want to do here,making response all just reading the post,we all want to do things at our will, why we force ourselves to make response to the dicussions seem boring and unatrractive.So don't be upset,just do what you want to do here.

I am sorry you feel this way. I am not having these issues. I continue to enjoy myLot and those community members that make it worth while. There are some who make great friends, they respond well and often. Others throw in a few cents here and there. But no matter what it is something you have to enjoy in order to continue. The only piece I wrote so far was about tasers and autistics. Didn't get much response. Could be because I'm new or people just aren't interested.
