Now that I have direct tv my program watching has changed quite a bit due to new stations available to me now and of course one of my new favorites is the Chiller Channel! One of the programs I watch is Twin Peaks and I seem to remember that it was a series on a cable station at one time or another. Anyway, I've been getting into this one hour show but I can tell I've missed something somewhere along the way and can't figure out what it is!!! Have you ever watched the series Twin Peaks? Do you know the basic story behind it? Can you fill me in...lol?????

I used to be an absolute Twin Peaks fanatic, ctry! I even have episodes that I recorded on VCR still. It was a network TV series that launched the careers of such actors as Sherillyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, et al. I liked the series because it reminded me of the Noir films of the '40s and '50s. It was based on the murder of a girl(I forget the name), and had a huge ensemble cast. I forget the name of the male lead, but he also achieved a certain level of fame-Kyle Laughlin? Twin Peaks was an odd little town full of even odder people. Some great actors did come out of the series though.

You are right...it does remind me of the films from back then and that might be part of it's draw for me. A lot of the cast looks very familiar to me but I'm not good at names either!

I was a devoted Twin Peaks fan. I watched it religiously every week when it first came out. Then years later we bought the video collection of the series. As much as I watched it I still never knew wtf was going on! I mostly just loved the music and the weirdness of it, no matter if I followed the plot or not. Wikipedia has a pretty good synopsis of the plot, but if you haven't seen it and you don't like to know the ending of a movie before you watch it then you don't want to read the whole thing. Basically the FBI agent (Kyle MacLachlan) is investigating the murder of the homecoming queen, Laura Palmer, but you've probably figured that much out for yourself. What's happening in the series right now? If you don't want to know the ending I can tell you where to read to in the synopsis, which I highly recommend reading! I would just say welcome to the mind of David Lynch, but he didn't even write most of it!

I actually don't mind knowing the end because knowing me I won't even see the end of this for one reason or another. I'm definitely going to check out Wiki for that synopsis...thanks for the info!

I was a loyal fan of this show. It was quirky and I needed something different to watch and this filled the ticket. Never heard of the Chiller Channel. Not sure that Hubby would be interested in watching this series. We do enjoy watching LOST and it holds our interest. I can't wait for the next season to begin.

I have the Gold Box Edition, so you know I was a huge fan. There were 29 episodes and the original pilot. If you have a chance watch the international pilot of the show. Be sure and check out greetingsfromtwinpeaks.com to see more about the show. I have watched the show several times and was quite glad to see this very different show with an amazing cast including Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Madchen Amick, Ray Wise, Lara Flynn Boyle, Richard Beymer, Sherilyn Fenn and many more people.

I'm sure you've been waiting for my answer to this one. I don't feel like looking to see what others have said and filled you in on... but here's what I will say. Twin Peaks rocked. David Lynch Rocks. You should also watch Lost Highway, the movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098936/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105665/ http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000186/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116922/ Chiller has been around on Direct TV for about a year or so. I usually only watch the TV Shows. The movies kind of suck most of the time.

Watched it when it aired originally. No longer have direct tv. So no more Chiller channel. Loved that too though. Miss it hope you enjoy. Check internet sites alot of them have cable catch up tags in the listings for you. Twin Peaks is also available to rent on dvd. Since netflix has it its a good bet so does blockbuster.

I remember Twin Peaks. It first aired on ABC back in the day. Then it was re ran on Bravo a few years back.It is a little hard to explain to anyone who hasn't watched it. And unfortunately, you can see all the episodes and still be in the dark about things.
