I really enjoy it now. My boyfriend left for 10 days due to International Business trip. I am happy with myself and my animals. I think that time alone is helpful for everyone. We are resting this afternoon in my bed. My animals are happy pack sleeping with meditation music while I am on Internet. I have stock of never read magazines and notebook for my ideas to work on. Do you like to be alone?

im always alone in my room and i enjoy it...though there are times that i want to be with someone coz its kindda lonely...someone to talk to, to laugh with and enjoy things with someone...well, being alone for me is allowing myself to be apart from many things around and people...doing stuff that i would have not to consider others...

Hey polachicago I really like to spend time alone too, but not too much though. I think we all need to be alone sometimes, so we can think about things and life... I remember when I was little, around 9 or 10 years old, our teacher organized a trip for the class and sometimes I stayed alone in my room. I think I was the only one to do this, but I've always needed, and liked, to be alone. Thanks for this discussion, and sorry for my bad english :( httpx

I'm a loner by nature so, even thou I love having my family around me, I love even more when e1 is gone like now. Hubby took our daughter shopping and to spend some time at her grandparent's house b4 work tonight so it's just me and the sleeping fur babies. Nice and quiet.

lol Now that I'm out of the tub, they are all up but one feline. She's getting to be an old gal who just wants a lap to sleep on and nothing else. Oh, I forgot, she tries her hardest to sneak the kitten food whenever I'm not watching. lol Domingo outsnores me any night. Must be why hubby is always on the couch with the bedroom door shut. lol

I do sometimes enjoy spending time alone. The reason why I enjoy spending time alone is for the simple fact that sometimes I just need time to sit back and reflect on the simpliar things of life. I enjoy sitting back, and just reading a nice book every once and a while. The reason why I do this also, is to calm my soul. No one likes to be worked up about everything all of the time, so sometimes it is just good to take a breather.

I would hate to be alone on a permanent basis, but to have some time alone is very rewarding. My wife visits friends in another provence about every six weeks, and I really enjoy having the house to myself for two nights. However I do appreciate it when she comes home.

I've been a loner most of my teenage life so I don't have a problem spending time alone. When I'm constantly going out surrounded by friends, i miss my time spent alone. My alone time is usually spent reflecting on my past, current and future situations. But it wasn't always this way, I used to hate being alone and would text message my friends the minute I get home from school or from work. Spending time by myself used to trigger random thoughts that would in turn trigger depressive thoughts. But eversince I got over my depression, spending time alone didn't drive me crazy as much as it did. Now, I make good use of those times by catching up on books that have been left unread, downloading music, watching series and movies over and over again.

depression is not the result of time alone...it is result of bad life cycle...I am glad that you are over it...

Yes, I enjoy spending time alone too. I like to be surrounded by people, but I can organize myself better when I'm alone. It can be liberating to spend time alone and more selective about things we plan to do.

I was just talking about this today. I LOVE BEING ALONE!!! There is so much I can get done...no one to interupt me...i would probably lock myself in the house for hours by myself if i could. The only times I don't like to be alone is when i'm sleeping...love having my husband to steal the covers from and snuggling up with the kids for an afternoon nap. Other than that, i am pretty sure i would be an excellent candidate for becoming a hermit. :)

Yes, I do enjoy spending time alone. Because it is very quiet, and peaceful, I can relax and concentrate on what I am doing. In my house, when I stay up late, this is when I get to spend time alone to enjoy the quiet night.

I love to be alone. Especially when my kids are gone to school or away for the weekend, I gives me time to gather myself. I think everyone needs alone time.

I love to be alone! I love how quiet the house gets, with the tv turned off. I used to be able to just sit and read for hours and hours! I hope your boyfriend has a safe trip and I hope you have a great time enjoying the peace and quiet!

Since highschool my parents always left me alone at home.My three siblings were schooling in the city so I was left in the province as I was the favorite daughter and they won't allow me to take up my schooling in the city. Today, I am living independently.I felt that way all the time as my hubby is overseas working so I am left out on my own with the kids. Yes, it is great being on your own.But I don't like the idea of a lifetime on your own.It kinda' make you isolated and less interaction to people and your surroundings.Although, once in a while it is actually helpful, for peace and quiet, meditation, spending what you want to enjoy and best of all missing your loved ones making you appreciate more of them, rather being with them 24/7 that gets the relationship stale and bitter. Enjoy your quiet and being on yourself...A great day ahead of you and when BF comes back, the thrill and excitement of him will surprise you!!!

I enjoy to have some time for myself, i feel that if i was in the company of my partner 24/7 i would not have the chance to reflect on my life with him and things could possibly go stale. I sometimes enjoy having a bit of space so that i can worry about him, this way i know that i still care and my love for him is still strong. We both work, he works by the tide and i work one morning followed by one afternoon, so there are many times i am home alone or he is. Thank you for this interesting question
