Dazed And Confused~~LOL

Okay, I think I must have really lost it today. When I got up today, I honest to God thought it was Monday, New Year's eve, instead of Sunday. It wasn't until I went briefly to the computer to check a few things out, and it clearly said Sunday..uh? Then listening to the news on the radio it said, Sunday, December 30th. Actually I was glad that it was indeed Sunday instead of Monday, to have more time to do things in preparation for New Year's eve. I'm beginning to think my confusion was caused as I was working real late in front of the computer and therefore went to bed later than usual. So....the question is, do any of you when you first wake up think it's one day, when it's really another day? Does anyone get dazed and confused like me? Please tell me it's not just me.

The only way to live is to toss out the calendar, put the watch in the drawer, take down the clocks and live life to the fullest. No time constraints or cares about what day it is. A day is a day is a day and has no name. Time is eternal and fluid and without memory.

It's just you and you alone, pye. lol j/k my friend. I'm sure we all do that a few times in our lifetime. I woke up on Christmas last year thinking it was Christmas eve. The whole friggin' day I thought it was the day before Christmas. NOW that is taking confusion a step further. lol Hubby and daughter were gone when I woke up and didn't get home till very late that night. He finally corrected my poor confused brain when he got home. lol

LOL! It's not just you, believe me! There are days when I believe it's one day when it's really another, then halfway through the day I think it's a completely different day. Maybe it's because so many of them are so alike? LOL

Well that's for sure. We've had so many overcast days that one day does seem like the next

It's at least me too LOL. Since I'm self employed I don't have a typical monday-friday work schedule so even when the weekend isn't a holiday weekend, unless I've got something special planned, I often don't know what day it is! I'm ashamed to say that I often only know the day of the week because a certain TV show is on... and since shows have been in reruns for the past couple of weeks I've been quite clueless. Of course I always know what DATE it is because it's stamped on my emails and that's the first thing I check in the morning LOL!

I work at home myself, and quite often even do a little work on holidays too, so I don't have the typical monday to friday work week either.

I have woke thinking it was closer to Friday than it really was. Throughout the day it was hard to shake that feeling. It is almost a numbing feeling when you become aware that you are ahead of everyone else even though in reality you are still on the same page. I call it blonde meltdowns.

I am just curious, did you dress up for New Year already? Did you prepare your wish and send it to wish center in NY? http://www.newser.com/story/15261.html

Blame it on aging..haha! I do it all the time. My calendar at work keeps me straight but I've been off work for several days before Christmas now and it is getting a bit fuzzy! I'm really dreading going back to the real world. Happy new year to ya!

I think what got me out of kilter to begin with was having Christmas during the week last week. Then I thought it had a "Sunday" feel to it. LOL Happy New Year to you too!

Okay how is this for looney? For some reason I'll still have vivid dreams that I'm much younger and still in college, I wake up thinking (and I'm a very slow riser) that I have a math test or something and have to go to my college...yeesh--wonder what the heck THAT means???

It's not just you! That happens to me a lot, but i think its because i dont really have any set schedule, i'm a stay at home mom so everyday is pretty much the same. Get up serve breakfast, change bums, play, feed lunch and snacks, change more bums, bath time, book time, bed time. lol Did i leave anything out? Probably, but you get the point. When you do the same thing everyday day in and day out, the days tend to run together. I found out i was pregnant at 6 weeks, and now i am 6 months, Where did the time go ? I HAVE NO IDEA! But if you find it can you give it back to me please ? Thanks :)

I have to stop and think, "What day is it?"It happens when I have to wake the same time on my day off as a work day.I wake to go to the bathroom, I fall back to sleep, and the alarm sounds.I have to remember what day it is and why I am waking at this time. This happens wheter I went to sleep early or late.

My confusion is that I work at home and often do some kind of work on weekends and even a bit on holidays, so almost everyday is the same with me

Hi Pye. You're not the only one that this has happened to. When it rains day after day, day in and day out it gets me confused to what day it is. I guess being so gloomy and nasty which makes me want to sleep whether I actually do or not I kind of take a mental break from everything and go into like a zombie state so maybe that's why I get confused? Who knows.

Oh I know what you mean....these past two months or so I think we've only had about ten days of sunshine while the other days it's been overcast..not necessarily rainy or snowy, just gloomy and overcast..the kind of days you just want to sleep anyway

you are definetly not along in that era. sometimes if i am really tired from working, totally tired and fall alsleep for a short period of time it seems like i overslept for work the next day too. this is after i get home from working and take a nap.

I do wake up dazed and confused, but not generally about the day. I will fall asleep in a chair, but think I am in bed, and really not know where I am, or be surprised by my surroundings and really confused. It leaves me feeling odd for quite awhile.

I have done that before! I know you're a night owl and when I worked on thirds (and now the hubby's back on thirds) I often got the days mixed up. It sometimes would get confusing. Esp talking about days in the future too.

Oh, all the time lol. I hadn't, until recently, found time to be a terribly important thing, so never really kept much track of it. But occasionally I found my days..displaced in that fashion, heh. I don't get dazed or confused when it happens, I just laugh, 'cause I find it amusing that my brain thought I'd gone through more time than I had ^_^

I guess time is important to me, since in many ways I work with deadlines, especially if I'm writing articles for this website I belong to, then I do give myself my own deadlines for projects I work on..

A major portion of my life has been in a dazed and confused state, but I don't get the pay Brendan Fraser or Raquel Welch did for it.....course I don't look like them either...lol. I have sometimes woken up on a Saturday startled thinking I was late for work.
