Have you ever dated your spouse secretly?

I am curious if anyone has done this. Have you secretly dated your spouse and even your children don't know about it? Does it spice up your married life? Does it add some romance to your relationship? Do your children think you are having an affair with the milkman?

I wish I had time to date at all.. lol. With the kids, work, the new house,, never have time to sleep much less date. We have had it rough too. Since our boys were born, no one has ever offered to watch them nor did I ask.. (family is a LONG story) so my hubby and I have never even been out to dinner without them.. oh well. Seems to be working so far..

Our children are older so we don't have to worry about sitters and such. Half the fun is doing something the children don't know about. But we got busted after the third date. I don't know how they found out but they know we have been up to "no good". LOL

AAHHH that kind of explains your Bon MOts from the other site! LOL I am happy that you and hubby have been able to sneak in a few dates. Even if they know, you can still keep it hidden from the kids, that will make it even better! LOL

It is so much better than fighting and fussing. You know how close we have come to divorce in the past year. I have made it a personal motto that "I am no longer looking back. I am looking forward." Keep your fingers crossed that "forward" will include my husband in my life. Did you see the poem I posted on that other site called "The Abyss"? It kind of describes how close we have gotten to the edge.

If you ever get the opportunity to try this with your spouse or boyfriend, do it. It is a lot of fun.

Once we had a big fight and when it was over and we started to talk as human beings again, my husband proposed to make a date. It was for the following saturday at 8pm. He took all the things he needed like clothes and shoes to the spare bedroom. With that he left our bedroom all for me. We did not talk to eachother all day except for the important things. He went outside when he was ready and even left alone in the car. I thought to myself "what is he doing leaving me here?". But he wanted it to look like a real date when he passed by in his car to pick me up.

When we first met my wife wouldn't tell her parents because she feared they'd turn out like they did. After awhile she came open about it and then I seen why she did it and once again we had to go into hiding, it was kinda fun but I hated her parents attuitude. I wouldn't do it again. ~Joey
