CSI on January 10th, new or not?

Is this a new episode or just another repeat? I read the description online and it does not seem familiar but since I don't know all the official titles of the shows I can't really tell! The episode running is "Bull", it is about a bull riding contest in Las Vegas and illegal bull breeding.

They ran a promo for it after Thursday nights episode, so that means it is a new episode (they don't run promos for repeats). I don't know how many more new episodes there will be after this one though, they should be running out fairly soon because of the writer's strike. Guess we should enjoy it while we can!

Is this episode part of a new season or is it a left over from the Fall/Winter season? I am seeing quite a few cable shows starting their new seasons already. I bet that the major networks will loose tons of money over this.

The major networks (CBS,NBC, ABC, FOX) generally run their show's seasons from September through May, roughly; excluding "mid-season replacements." There are usually about 21-24 new episodes of a show aired during the course of a season. Next week's episode will be part of the current season.

I have not notcied that at all. Even when you buy the seasons on disk there are not that many espisodes for a show. Even 24 episodes is only 6 months, most of the shows seem to run new thorugh the ned of December then are old until Feb or March and are only new briefly. The only reason I notice is because shows like Monk, Medium and Psych fill in that gap.

This is season 8 and 1/10 episode called Bull. There will be one more episode after the 1/10 episode that will be new. I don't know the title.
