I am not against forwards but I do get tired of seeing the same ones over and over.. I realize that some people don't always have something to say so it means thay thought of you.. I really don't care much for the ones that say at the end email 5 people and you will get... email 10 people and you will get... I never pass these on.. Chain emails are not my thing... I can imagine an email superior being watch and laughing.."haha caught another one!! hehe" I do enjoy a joke being passed along.. Any trhoughts on this? xoxoxoxo

I also do not froward emails unless it is a personal bit of information between my friends. All the others, especially the ones that portray either luck or doom and gloom if I do not forward to X amount of people. So far nothing has happened to me for not forwarding them. I would also be afraid that one of them contained some kind of virus and I passed it on to my friends.

I'm glad there are others that feel this way.. I was worried that I was being mean.. or selfish... I'm glad I'm not! xoxoxo

Chain e-mails annoy me greatly, even the funny ones. It's like a mild threat! I delete them straight away. Forwards can be funny so I don't mind them as much, but there does get to be a stage where the same e-mail comes to you 10 times over and it gets tiresome! I'm often getting sent jokes that I heard years ago and are doing the rounds again. It's nice that someone's trying to brighten your day though. We could all use a bit more of that!

I do not enjoy e mails that contain a threat, pass this to so many or such and such will happen to you. I do not like the ones that are supposed to like lucky charms, "You will get rich if you. . ." I do not mind an occassional joke or inspiration, but if I remember having read it, I delete it. I do not pass them on.

I'm not against them either, not the jokes and humorous ones, but I'm not one for the chain letter type either. I usually just delete them and hope the person who sends them realizes it somehow and gets the hint. But they usually don't...lol! Annie

Anyone can send them to me if they feel they need to forward them as I don't feel I have to forward anything unless i like it or I think my friends will! I have no worries about stopping the chain because I don't believe it will bring me the promised bad luck xxx

I do not forward emails unless I feel they are really worth it. I get a lot of them and most of the time I will delete them all together and not even read them. Jokes are good and thoughts for the day and even better, but forwards to 5 or 10 people, I don't have the time or the patience to do that. Donna www.getcleangetrich.com www.donnablackwell.com

I have a list of about 30 people who I regularly forward e-mails to. Most of the people on the list have requested to be on my list, and during the years some have requested to be taken off of it. Everyone on my list knows that my list is automatic and that you may recieve something from me that someone else just sent you. My brother is always telling me and my two sisters to stop sending him the same thing because he's on all of our lists! He doesn't want to be taken off the lists though because then he might miss something good. We have a good time with that. Most of what I get I do not censor - we all have different tastes and if it's something I don't like I know some people on my list probably will so I will send it. I have probably had less than 10 e-mails over the years that I have NOT sent to my list because of the tactless content. As for the chain e-mails, I delete the whole "chain" part of it. There is usually a good story in the e-mail that I think people will enjoy, but the chain part is worthless. I also delete the zillions of e-mail address from the thousounds of times this e-mail was forwarded. I know that some people (AOhelL is one) that can't delete that information easily and there are also lots of people that don't even realize that you can delete it. Using the BCC field will take care of most of that problem.

I don't mind forwards but sometimes it seems like I do get the same ones over and over. I'll read the ones I want to and sometimes delete others before I even read them. I don't like the chain emails either.

I get a ton of those from friends, my sister, my hubby's aunt and lots of others. Some of them are nice, like the jokes and the ones about God but like you the ones that say to send to so many people and you will have good luck, I delete them. Sending an email to a certain amount of people is not going to give me good luck or bad luck. I also like the ones with the cute pictures of babies or cats and dogs. :)

I don't mind getting a few chain emails, but when i get loads all in a short amount of time or if i get loads that are near enough the same it does get abit annoying sometimes. I forward one every so often, but most of the time i just delete them. All those ones about "if you don't forward this email something bad will happen" is just stupid in my opinion because how can a chain email change anything. ~Joeys wife

I am not a big fan of chain-emails. I can not tell you how much of my day is wasted by these emails. We have a guy at my work, who is like the king of these. I mean we know when he is at work by the amount of chain emails he sends and it just dilutes the importance of his valid emails.

I will pass on if it is a funny joke or something what is worth to share with my friends. Chain emails are not trouble me because if it is only a white-and-black matter or worthless story, I normally delete it straightly. Doom and gloom are unreasonable since it doesn't happen till now...
