Is there a difference between satan and the devil?

they are the same personage just ed or Edward are the same person just deafer name for them

I'm not sure about them being the same. I do know that there is one "big guy" that is Lucifer and then he has "angels" which are his helpers and they are the devil's some of the "angels" are angels that also were kicked out of Heaven because they were following Lucifer.

Yes, I believe its just different names. Why he has so many, I'm not sure.

Different names but is the same thing
Satan comes from the Hebrew word meaning "Adversary" while Devil is from the Greek word meaning "accuser"
To me there's no differences because he is not real.
