How are the episodes being written if there's a writer's strike?

I hate that they are still on strike, and that when we do get a new show for that week, then that is it for awhile. It is like they are teasing us.

Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, who is on the negotiating committee says production has completely halted. There will not be new episodes of Desperate Housewives for a long time. Sorry I don't have any good news.

I had heard that some of the writers are back to work. Im so happy, I was getting sick of re-runs.
