It was reported earlier this week by Fox News, among other news organizations that Hillary Clinton's campaign was in shambles and they were calling in some "old pros" from her husband's campaigns and Administrations to save them, including James Carville and Paul Begala. One who reported the story about Begala was Major Garrett of Fox News who then received a phone call from none other than Begala himself. Garrett reported told Begala "Thanks for your input but we're going with out original story." Huh?????
For the record, Fox News never retracted their inaccurate report.
Fair and balanced? I think not!

Is Garrett considered a reporter or a commentator on Fox? There are different rules regarding journalism and commentary. Commentary can be claimed as opinion, and doesn't legally have to be retracted. That's how Bill O'Reilly gets away with claiming some things as facts, even if they're proven false.
As I understand it, when Fox *does* air retractions, they do so in the middle of the night when almost no one is watching. *shrug*

That's hilarious...They're going with the original story. It sounds like a scene from that spoof movie. "Anchorman" I think it was called.
