Get a square pan buy a good piece of flank, in the pan mix water, a little olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, worstesherchire(Sp. ?) a dab of peanut butter ( leave out if allergic)a hint of tarragon, and than either homemade or jarred black bean and garlic paste. Add some water to give it a marinade texture, marinade overnight and slap on the grill and don't overcook it. This is a recipe that will leave you a carnivore wanting more.

Yes the peanut butter adds a distinctive flavor as it blends with the Garlic and beans. You don't want to overdue it like what happens a lot in Thai food just a dollup will do, or again with allergies you can skip it. peanut butter is a key secret ingredient in a lot of vegetarian cooking also when someone is trying to make Tofu or TVP or Glutem take on a meat like flavor. Yhis has been cooking tips with Edge brought to you by hey wait i don't have any sponsers, so brought to you by ME!

Pictue of a Steak Burrito - A picture of a Steak Burrito
There are many things to do with steak. One thing that we do it grill the steak up and then cut into small chunks. Peel up some potatoes and throw it in a frying pan with a little bit of oil. You want potatoes to be a little bit soft and the bone of the potatoe. Add the steak with your choice of seasonings. As well you can also add veggies as well. You don't have to but its kinda nice. When you put the steak in throw some onions in as well Another one that we do are Steak Burritos STEAK BURRITOS Whatever ingredients that you want some include: steak, all fat trimmed & cubed diced onion diced tomato salsa taco seasoning burrito shells Sliced cheese lettuce green red or yellow peppers Cook the steak and place in burrito shells add your ingredients (just like a taco)

I have several rules about cooking a GOOD STEAK. The first, and most important, rule is: The longer a GOOD STEAK sits on the fire, the closer it is to becoming a DISASTER. Second is: NEVER salt a steak while it is cooking. Let whoever is eating it decide what they want on it, and how much. Third is: Always take it off the fire, put it on a plate, and LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES, before serving it. The reason for number 3 is because it will retain it's juices better, which is why it will be so tender you could ALMOST cut it with a butter knife, if you have followed Numbers 1 and 2 above. Number 4 is: A GOOD STEAK should only need salt and pepper, nothing else. HIDE THE STEAK SAUCE, or better yet, don't have it around. Steak sauce is basically ketchup, which belongs on french fries, not meat.

here are some recipes from allrecipes.com hope you like it Drunken Flat Iron Steak SUBMITTED BY: Cocina JNOTS "A friend tried something like this in Texas and this was our version of it." INGREDIENTS * 1 (2 pound) flat iron steak * 1/4 cup dry vermouth * 1/4 cup sweet vermouth * 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil * 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes DIRECTIONS 1. Place steak into a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour in the dry vermouth and sweet vermouth and stir to coat the steak. Seal or cover and refrigerate for 6 hours to marinate. 2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove steak from the bag and discard the marinade. Season the steak on both sides with red pepper flakes. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired degree of doneness. Let rest for a few minutes before serving. ------------------------- Creole Pan-Broiled Flat Iron Steak SUBMITTED BY: EL-LOCO-FOODS "My wife prefers my pan-broiled steaks over grilled Filet Mignon, New York Strip or Sirloin any day. The key is not so much the cut of the meat, rather how it is prepared to give it its magic." INGREDIENTS * 2 pounds flat iron steak * 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabascoâ„¢) * 2 tablespoons lime juice * 2 teaspoons garlic salt * 1/8 teaspoon salt * 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper * 2 1/4 teaspoons blackened seasoning * 1/2 cup butter * 1/2 cup water DIRECTIONS 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Season the steak with hot pepper sauce. Sprinkle or mist with a little lime juice and season lightly with just a portion of the garlic salt, salt, black pepper and blackened seasoning. 2. Place the steak in the pan and cover with a lid. Cook for about 20 minutes, or to your desired degree of doneness, turning and adding more seasoning every 5 minutes. 3. Remove steaks to a serving platter and keep warm. Stir butter and water into the pan, removing any browned bits from the bottom to make a gravy. Season with additional garlic salt, salt and pepper to taste. Serve steaks with gravy drizzled over them. ----------------------- Star Fruit Steak SUBMITTED BY: Matthew "I learned this recipe one night after a long, hard day. It was the best steak I've ever had! Juicy star fruit and Worcestershire sauce fill the meat with flavor." INGREDIENTS * 1 1/4 pounds beef sirloin steak * 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce * 1 teaspoon ground black pepper * 1 teaspoon seasoning salt * 1 carambola (star fruit), cut into 1/3 inch slices DIRECTIONS 1. Cook steak 3 to 5 minutes per side on the prepared grill, or to desired doneness.

I always loved a good marinated steak - marinate overnight in your favorite sauce. Then I cut it in bite sized pieces and cook it in a skillet with mushrooms and sweet onions. Serve it over some mashed potatoes and yum!

I'll just pass on a simple recipe for pan-fried steaks, that is well-loved. For 2 quality steaks; About 4 tbsp. of crushed mixed peppercorns. They must be crushed NOT ground! (I use a pot (clean)bottom on my marble cutting board.) Rub,force onto both sides of steak & set in fridge to marinate. Fry as usual in dry pan..medium heat. When steaks are done to your taste, remove and add about 1/2 cup brandy, stirring to get up juices, then add about 1/2 cup heavy cream, and serve over the steaks! Scrumdillyicious!
