I wouldn't have a clue how to make bedroom slippers but am guessing you might knit them? You can use cardboard for support. I have a pair on right now that have cardboard in them with material over the cardboard. These are also washable. Have to wash them every so often because we have pets and their hair sticks to them.

I have 3 pairs of bedroom slippers I wear. All have cardboard as the sole and are washable. You might check with a craft store and see if there are different kinds of cardboard to use for slippers that are washable. I do know the cardboard in the slippers is rather thin but durable.

I have not made any, but someone made them for me and I do have a pattern, but it ws mainly knitted and there were no hard soles. I guess if you go to a crafts store you can buy some there. You could use some cardboard, but then you would have to make a separate sole to insert it into it. I looked on the web, and it says plastic canvas is good, but I nave no idea where you can get it.

Maybe you could use an old pair of slippers and attach the new crocheted "top" to them. I've never thought to make slippers with firm bottoms, only slipper socks so I never really thought about it.

You can use felt. This is how we do it.
Felt works good and is good to wear. The slippers last a long time.
Happy mylotting!

I just got done making a pair last week, but mine are like slipper socks. I like to wear them to bed to keep my feet warm. Troy searching the web for patterns. There are many good sites out there, and I'm sure you will find something to your liking.
