Yep, I fell today. Tripped over a full cat litter tub, almost caught myself on another one, it tipped and I landed on it. Saved the iphone from getting banged.... I was actually pretty lucky, only got a little knocked around, my elbow hurts the most, my knee is starting to hurt again, my chest where I landed on the tub....
So, are so are you this graceful? I never do less than a full belly flop these days, the only reason I wasn't on my face was because the cat litter tub was under me! Tell all, you a klutz like me?

I hope you are fine. The first thing I thought of is I hope the cat box was clean. I just cleaned my cat box today and it is so gross.
I have dizzy spells so yes I fall all the time. I have fallen in my pool a few times. At least the times I have fallen has been in the summer when the water is warm. I have never fallen in the water when it is cold. Thank goodness.
The other day I fell off the ladder when I went to pick oranges off our tree. I did not hurt myself I landed on my feet somehow but the ladder tiped over on its side.

The horse that I rescued rolled over on me all the time until I fell getting off during a roll and landed on his stomach. I came down hard and knocked the wind out of him, at first I thought I had killed him because he just laid there rolling his eyes and trying to breath. Scared the heck out of me and him but he never rolled over on me, however other people were fair game as far as he was concerned.

Not just clean, but still in its tub from the store! LOL
Wow, off an ladder & on your feet! That's pretty good. I had a horse lay down & roll in the mud, but I just stepped off her & ended up on my feet, in the mud, but atleast not under her in the mud....
My roomie, who is visually impaired, fell in one apartment complex's pool so many times, he had to put a safety fence around it - tho he might've had to do it for insurance purposes anyway....
Ohhh... oranges in the back yard... yummmm

Oh my. It sounds like you did get banged up quite a bit there. I have my days too sometimes. It seems no matter what I do, I hurt myself sometimes by stubbing my toe etcetera. It just continues throughout the day and I keep banging into something or another LOL. It doesn't happen all of the time but when it rains, it pours, LOL.
I hope you heal well soon from that.
WOW!!!!

lol...I was and since I have a tendency to topple over anything and everything, I am very careful now and haven't fallen in ages. I think my husband has taken over now. If there is a drop of water in the house, my husband will invariably slip and fall there. It's like he's a magnet to any potential falls just waiting to happen. We've been married 8 years now and I can't count the number of times he's fallen in all these years.

I have fallen so many times that I'm almost a pro! It usually happens when I am hurrying and not paying close enough attention. And I've broken bones doing it. The last serious fall I had didn't seem so serious at the time. I fell and did a flip landing on my bottom. I had a huge bruise on my buttock, but didn't think it was more than that. Two years later I've discovered that I have a compression fracture of a lumbar disk that has been causing me pain for over a year. It had to have happened when I landed on the concrete bottom first.
Your fall sounds like it made quite a mess of the room. I hope it didn't do any structural damage to your body, however. Get ice on that knee!

I hope you are alright. As I am sure you already know I am the biggest klutz I know. I can fall down stairs while standing still at the top. I stood on a nail that not even a full minute before I had put out side of the barn and took a mental note of it being there, I put it right threw my foot and out the top of my shoe. I fell in a 5 foot deep hole that my road crew had dug up 3 days prior and that I had stood beside for nearly 4 full days. I tripped over my own foot and fell banging my head on the sidewalk. Yep, the general consensus with me is that is there is something I can fall over, fall in, fall down, or fall up I will. I tell people I am gravitationally challenged.

I have only broken my nose once, and all the bones in my feet at different times. I have a thing for stepping on stuff but I can't stand shoes and socks so I am barefoot almost all the time even in the winter it makes for cold feet a lot. When I lived in Alberta I would go out without shoes on in -40 but I was only going from the house to the car or the back gate to put the dogs out (who had little booties to protect their toes from frost bite). I love to trip on my cats, about a month ago I tripped on Alex on the stairs and fell with the baby I really got hurt then because all my energy went to making sure the baby was safe, I hit my head bruised my backside from my lower back to my knees and jammed an ankle on the wall at the bottom. So much fun being a klutz. It seems my oldest is taking after me, he falls down all the time.

Those nails can be deadly. Once when I was a machinist I got steel shavings in my eyes and that was not fun getting it removed. The Dr's used a tiny yet strong magnet against the eye. I could feel my eye popping out towards the magnet as the steel was pulled free. OWIEEEE!

YIKES!!!
I got a nail in my foot at 6, rammed my head into one AT the riding stable at 12 and got a tack in my foot about that age too. Gee, I wonder why I don't go barefoot....
I'm pretty good about avoid OBVIOUS obstacles, I've even been known to work my way to the edge of a 300 foot cliff & look over - much to my mom's discomfort.
Its the common things that catch me. The absolute worse injuries have been a dislocated wrist while playing with some neighborhood kids, a broken bone in my foot from playing basketball in high school and a badly sprained ankle when I stepped on a bolt in an old concrete slab. The last time I could've been badly injured, I managed to land on the ONLY spot of leaves off the slab that didn't have rocks all in it & it was only big enough for me to land in a cross-legged style, that I did do.
Other than that, I've missed the edge of the sidewalk, caught the top of my foot on the screen door, tripped over a box & just lost my balance. I always go down liked a felled tree, full on my chest (I pull my head back to keep from landing on my nose....)

Well, the litter boxes are either in the cat room or in what should be my closet in my bedroom. I have only tripped over them about twice, and that was when I had already challenged my balance with the freezer.... Nope, this was a full, clean, unopend bucket of litter, outside, but beside the car.... I saw it perfectly well, just managed to not get my foot up high enough to step over it. Actually, I had hoped to shove it with my foot but it didn't shove.....

It was those cats' fault. They were too lazy to take a few steps outside and go on the compost pile ot find a fresh piece of dirt. Why I bet when you are not looking, they get food out of the kitchen, make themselves fish sandwiches and play cards :) Well I am clumsy and that is why I walk around v e r y c a r e f u l l y. However, outside in the snow, I have to be careful with all that snow and ice underneath it. Hope you were not badly hurt.

My cats are inside cats, so while they might WANT to take those few steps, they are not allowed. They would get fish out of the kitchen if they had opposible thumbs, they sit next to the food bowl or can of food & let us know that its our job to open them!
Happily, I wasn't hurt, even the elbow that hurt for awhile, has stopped. So I guess that's my fall for the season.... I hope.

Come on now, Elic. We know you really didn't trip over that cat litter tub accidentally. It really hopped out in front of you, causing you to trip. That's what I tell ppl whenever I trip to bang my poor toes against the dog crate or corners of the house. Wish I was as graceful as you thou when I fall. I usually do the full arm rotations along with lots of drunk stumbling and curses. After all that, I'm lucky if I still don't fall.

I am so firmly over my feet that when I go down, there's no point in trying too hard to save myself. I'm never moving fast, so when I go down, my feet are the first thing to go out from under me & there's no getting them back!
The time I fell over the box, I was carring a heavy bowl (corell or whatever the name is - you can back or microwave in them) and an empty large plastic drinking "glass." I didn't want to land on them so I threw them up in the air to get them out of my way (the glass wouldn't have been so bad to get out of the way, but the bowl was another matter.) After I landed I covered up my head & waited for them to land on me, knowing that bowl was going to HURT when it hit, but it missed me by several feet! Didn't even break! Jarred my back, but other than that I didn't do too badly.
