how many people here have heard of melatonin.. the supplement

to help you sleep melatonin i just dont get where they get it from, since its a chemical that your brain makes..how do they make it?

You can't make melatonin. Its a natural antioxidant. That is it fights free radicals that may be a factor in cancer, diabetes, arthritis and other serious and debilitating diseases. An MD recommended melatonin for sleep for me. From what I read it seems to be safe unless and this is IMPORTANT if you're not diagnosed with an auto-immune disease. I can't take it now since my endocrinologist diagnosed me with Hashimotos. Autoimmune chronic thyroiditis. I'd say check with your doctor before ingesting it.

I have heard of it, but I am not sure how they come up with that either. Technology is so advanced these days, so who knows for sure how they do it. I'm not sure how it is made.
