since gradeschool till college up until now that im working, you see more often hanging out men then women..dont get me wrong, im not lesbian, and im not going through some identity crisis..but i like hanging out with males...why? because, less hassle, less hypocrisy and less gossips! Ive been to different set of friends and most of the time that not when im with female freinds, i always end up arguing with them when they start talking about other people..yes there are times that we get to talk about other people but not make it a past time or most of the time...i dont like that...i still have female freinds around, maybe with someone who share the same idea with me. if i get to be with people that i dont like ( esp when situation calls for it..i just stays quite and dont comment to it. ) what about you?

I'm much the same. I've always had more male friends than female. Girls confuse me. I just don't understand the things they seem to enjoy talking about. I don't like gossip (much), I don't like shoes or clothes shopping, I don't even wear make-up. And there's nothing I can talk about to them. Not so much since coming to university though. There are far more girls here interested in the same things as me... which is nice.

I have more male friends than female, because most of the time between a man and a woman friendship things end up in love relationship.

so far, i never had a relationship with the group i hang out with..because it clear that we may jive when it comes to fun, but we also know that not in this group who interest us to be our lover...we all involved with someone else who's not included in our group, gf/bf/wife/husband hang out with us when were out and its fun. we get to broaden our horizon when we hang out and we bring out special someone and thay tag along their other friends and get to meet other people in that process..

i agree..i go out mostly in a group. male and female..in fact weve been envied by some of our officmates because when were together we can have fun and laugh with just about anything...they even think that were forming huddle or talking about or bossess..which is not true. i just hope they will get a life and mind their own business!

I have many female friends but I enjoy hanging out with my male friends better. there is less drama when it comes to guys it seems like. And most of my guy friends have already graduated so they don't have high school drama surrounding them.

excatly! less drame, less hassle, we dont get to hear someone complaining about the place where you hang out, and they know we ladies can handle things with the going gets tough.

I am always hanging out wwith the boys, it is way easier and there is never fighting, guys that love you will love you forever no matter what you do or say, oh and your allowed to have bad days without your friends hating you for not answering the phone. I have some really good girlfriends and we are one in the same, i think thats why we like each other. This is a photo of my best friend, shes a boys girl too! But what the girls hate, then the boys adore!

Being that I am a female, I've always hung out with guys myself. Girls just don't like me and that is fine. But growing up I was a tom-boy and I guess because I still have that type of mentality, girls and I just don't get along. The girls that were my friends growing up always back stabbed me and were too petty. And I don't know how many told me to leave their guy alone...it was just all too stupid to be real. But amazingly enough, here lately I have grown quite fond of a few females that I really can call my friends, but they are much older and more mature than typical females.

well, i guess its a matter of finding your set of freinds, someone that doesnt judge you on who you are. tis good that youve found the people that you can really hang out with.

Hang out - Hanging out in a group
I like to hang out in a group. There should be male and females. I don't like hanging out with guys or gals alone. Going in a group is always exciting & funny.

youre right! actually, its not just me who's female in our group, we have other female friends with us that share the same sentiments with me when it comes to female freinds...that maybe the reason why we jive.

as long as somebody is my friend i don't care if it is a she or he; for what i care more about is to be with my friends. Though sometimes it depends on my mood that i may want to be with a male friend rather than a female friend but that may be beacause i would need just some solid talk or hard sports.

yeah, depends on the moods...but since i do more with fun, id rather stick to my set of friends..which i know i can rely on anytime.

I have two sets of friends the female and male one. Yeah your right dealing with male friends are less gossips and less hypocrisy and I had a male friend that I can trust my own secret. For my female friends I love going with them when I want to chat and go out for shopping.

I think males like to hang out more than females. As parents won't allow girls to stay outside.

maybe the good thing with my situation is that, i have a stable job and my parent doesnt tell me who to hang out with and who's not.

Yes females argue, gossip and genrally talk about nothing. I prefer the older people to talk to,males seem more intelligent in conversation..unlike girls who just giggle. I have got my small group of girls but in groups ild prefer guys.

I think I fit in with females better. I am the girlish kinda person. I mean, I love purses and all the finer things in life. I love the art. But I also like to tackle about politics and social issues. So I am mostly with highly intellectual women. But, I also want to be with gay guys who are not closeted yet, keep a lot of respect for themselves and others. Gay friends are fun to be with! I get to have the best of masculine and feminine sides.

dont get me wrong with this discussions, i also love purses and girly stuff...maybe the good thing about the group im with right now, one is a musician, so we get to have the touch of music and all its stuff, we have a lawyer, so politics and other interllectual is there, i bake and cook, so food is not an issue, we have a designer, so art is in and a lot more...we came from different angle and thats nice..

I've always prefered hanging out with guys, they just seem to have more fun and less hang-ups. But recently I've come across quite a problem. The guys I would normally hang out with seem to have had a change of heart. One of my closest friends apparently has a crush on me. And it's not just him, a few of the guys have decided they want more than friendship. Now I don't wana lead them on, but what are you supposed to do when they're no longer just friends? Is it wrong to hang out with guys you know have a crush on you?

hmm..thats really a problem there..considering that you dont want to ruin the friendship...im just lucky maybe that we dont have that kind of situation...i guess, it should start with being honest and draw the line...that way they would know that its not what you wanted. i used to hang out with guys who have crush in me, then i made it clear and we continued being freinds. it maybe aukward at first but he will learn to deal with it.

I'm a guy, so I stick with my guy friends also. I don't like being with girls, but not to the point that I hate them. I guess I'm not just comfortable talking with them for a long time, where in some situations you feel like a dumb because you cannot relate to their topics. Some men are also hypocrites, they also gossip and sometimes worse than that of girls. Just follow what your heart tells you, where you find peace and comfort being with..

maybe the fact that im with most of guy friends half of my life, i already know what they want to talk and what not..so i tend to stay on that level. yes, i understand that there are men who dont want to have female friends around and thats normal..

I'm a girly girl who happens to love sports. Most of the females I know don't like sports. So I love hanging out with guys. But I have a couple female friends I love being with, so if one of the called, I'd ditch a group of guys to be with one of them. When you have a friendship like that, it takes precedence.

I hang out with males, females and some gay friends. I love being with my friends. I am comfortable and truly happy when I am with them. However, at times I realize that I prefer to hang out more with my guy friends because I don't get to hear them gossip. They also don't laugh boisterously (which is really irritating).

I love this discussion. Don't get me wrong, hanging out with my girlfriends is a blast, but I'd much rather be with the guys sometimes! There's so much less emotion with them. They're just so straightforward, as in, what you see is what you get. Guys, you can ask them a question, and they'll tell you straight up. Guys don't usually gossip, as you already mentioned. Guys don't usually backstab unless it's on one of the other guys. (LOL) They're fun to be around because they're not girls! I completely understand where you're coming from, especially in high school and college. I don't think it's as bad afterwards, though, fortunately. Most girls and guys tend to grow up eventually. Awesome discussion, Daryl!
