Can I make a myspace page for my blog?

I'm trying really hard to promote my blog. I have joined several programs this week, and am running out of ideas. I was considering starting a myspace page for my blog, to promote it and do other things with the page. I thought I could maybe get some refs from that or something. I read the TOS on myspace, and I don't see where it says it's not allowed. I also did some searching for GPT sites within myspace itself, and there is a ton of sites already created. So with that said, is it okay to do that?

I think it will be okay to post your blog there. As long as you aren't spamming people, it should be just fine. Good luck in your quest for referrals. I know how hard that can be.

This whole referral thing is really giving me a headache. I'm totally NOT a salesperson. I've emailed a lot of people that are making TONS of money per month and have asked them for help. Man, I have alot of work to do!

I know exactly what you mean. It is hard to get people to sign up and work at these sites under your referral link. I have tried for 8 years to get some good referrals with no luck.

I made a blog in myspace and added a widget from widgetbox (search for it on the internet), which shows my posts. This attracted more visitors. I also joined mybloglog and blogcatalog, where you can add visitor widgets (see my Computer Tech Links in my mylot profile). So joining those forums and adding your blog to other directories/forums (e.g. blogengage, topofblogs, bloggeries, etc) will help promote your blog. But of course it takes a lot of time...

Thanks so much for the ideas. I'm going to see if I have time next week to look into them! Thanks again!

I hav seen bands, companies, and everything else have it's own myspace. I even seen someones cat have their own myspace. I guess it's allowed because they all still have their pages up. I don't remember reading it in the rules because it was so long ago and I wasn't planning to make another page just one for myself. Did you deiced to go ahead and make one?

Yep, I did. I figurd with ALL of the spamming people on Myspace-- that my NON spamming simple page would be okay. LOL I'm not planning on spamming anyone, just having another reference point to hopefully get more traffic to my blog. I've got a few friends already, some I know in real life, and a few others that just stumbled upon the page. I guess that's good for something!

I am pretty sure that you can. As long as you don't use it to spam people it shouldn't be a problem at all. I usually just post my links in the blog there, but my myspace has been established for awhile now. I don't use it for GPT sites though, I just put my Associated Content article links on there. My myspace is pretty much only people that I know in real life though.

Thanks! I went ahead and started one, I really hope that it gets me some refs. I have seen people make so much money thru GPT-- but the trick I think is having referrals. So I'm trying. Thanks for answering!
