This one is for those of my friends and members who are working. I would like to know that after how many days do you repeat your dress/attire, which you normally wear for going to your work place? I think it will vary from person to person. Some may have huge wardrobe and some may be satisfied with less number of attires. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I like this topic since I'm a bit conscious about repeating clothes and I have a very weird habit. It started when I was still in college. We had uniforms but wednesday was our wash day. I had a classmate who wore the same clothes almost every wednesday. It was like for 4 consecutive wednesday she'll wore the same shirt and she kept on repeating that for one semester. People, including me, started talking about her. Since then, I got conscious when it comes to repeating attire so what I did was I started making a list of what I wore because I tend to forget what attire I just wore last week or the previous week. Until now I always make a list especially now that I just started working with no uniforms and I'm very forgetful. I repeat my attire after 3-4 weeks.

Hi Deepak! My colleagues feel that my dresses are disposable ones because they feel I that I wear my sarees only once! But thats not true.I repeat my dress after almost two monts. The reason is I have my mother and sister who are fond of sarees and have a huge collection. We keep exchanging our dresses amongs ourselves. So the dresses are repeated only in some weeks or months.

I don't work right now and I have a few comfortable sets that I wear at home. And it's often repeated once in 3-4 days. But when I was working, I didn't like to repeat my dresses very often and it was often atleast 2 weeks to 3 weeks before I repeated. That doesn't mean that I had lots of clothes...but I just tried to mix and match what I had so that it didn't look the same.

SV, you gave the appropriate answer, for which I was looking for. I feel femals are more particular about their attire, working women usually remain very particular not to repeat their attire frequently. You could manage different dresses for 2 weeks or more...when you were working...that it great on your part. Thanks very much for sharing. :):)

Deepak, we are not rich kings and queens. we have to live 356 days a year which does not mean that we are going to have 356 different dress in our wardrobe...lol.Obviously we will repeat the same dress from time to time. I have 10 different kinds of dress for office, five for a week and five for next week, so I repeat the same dress only after two weeks. As far as home dress is concerned we do change it daily as I don't like to wear the same dress after I take bath so every day I have a new maxi, 7 dresses for 7 days........As for occasions everybody has special dresses in their wardrobe which are used only for special functions or parties or marriages.....let me also tell you that I don't waste much money on clothes.......I always buy simple clothes and that too as per my requirement, not more that that.........have a nice day........

It means you have many pairs of dresses so that you do not need to repeat them before two weeks. Kam hain kyaa.....LOL! Women (even my wife), I find are more particular in not repeating their dresses while going to work place. I know that you would wear a simple dress and I can also imagine that you do not like to waste money on too many attires. Good on your part. Thanks for sharing what you love to wear....! :):)

Hello there! When I was still working, I make sure that my attire is arranged in my wardrobe cabinets in such a way that I will not repeat it within a week. My vanity, but I am very conscious of what I wear Same goes with my casual clothes and home clothes My problem now, I have lots of business attires in my cabinet which I have not worn in the past two years since I became a full time housewife. I even have five sets of office attires that are still in their original packaging when delivered to me in 2007 which I have not worn yet and definitely love to give it to anyone who would take it.

Bubble! You were particular in not repeating your dress till a week. However, now you are deprived of this pleasure. Please also wear, as and when possible, your offie attires, which are still packed, after all those are meant to be worn by you only. Many thanks for sharing and dropping in.

I do not use it for more than two times, because of sweat, it needs a wash. Secondly even if one travels in car, the clothes catches dirt and dust in this dusty city.

Hi deepak, I wear 6 dresses for 6 days in a week and never repeat the same dress in the same week except the jeans. I have only some good pair of jeans of variable makes and the pair of blue denims I kind of repeat in the same week. I do not have a huge wardrobe but whatever few I have I try to maintain very well. Very casual yet a very pertinent post. smiles.. Have a great weekend. HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY.

Hi! Mimpi! It appears that you are particular in not repeating your dress until a week. I think if one has too many dresses, it becomes difficult to maintain and select all and sometimes, some keeping lying in the wardrobe for months together. Many thanks for sharing and dropping in. dpk P.S. - Pl. do not thrash me for my slight delayed comments on you response, I fail to understand how I missed it.

well i have to admit that i have quite a number of working clothes because i don't want to wear the same attire to work everyday. i love to shop for working attire sometimes. i think i probably wear one shirt once a month or so. but for pants/skirts i don't have that many so i wear whatever that matches with my shirt for that day hehe... ;)

Hello deepak! When I was still in school, we do have our unifors. We should wear a uniform every monday and tuesday and thursday and friday. Our free day is on wednesday only. What my mom did is that she bought me 2 pairs of uniforms. One is for monday and the other one is on tuesday. Since we don't have to wear uniform on Wednesday and that we can wear what we want, I usually wash my uniforms that day and use it on thursdays and fridays..

Aisa! How smart and wise was your mother and you. You I think did the best thing to save money, as much as you could on your uniform and that money would have been utilised somewhere else, for your own benefit. What about today? Do you frequently keep changing your attire? many thanks for joining.

Aisa that's unusual, having the free day on Wednesday. Normally free day is a Friday. But at least you have a free day. When I was in College, we have to wear the uniform Monday to Saturday (huh! I go to school 6 days a week )

i usually repaet my attire every other week. so they wont recognized me a girl with one dress. hehehe. i also mix and match my dresses so it will look like i bought another new dress. hehehe mixing and matching clothes help you a lot in saving money from buying new clothes. and your imagination is working while deciding what look good at you.. hehehe

It is not importand to have endless number of clothes. What I find more impotant is to know how to use them.I combine them in different ways so even if I repeat a piece of clothing more than once in a week I wear it with something different so that people see me all the time in different ways.

I Like things that mix and match, so I can use them differently all the time. Or just add something different to something. I have only one body, as tempting as having a big wardrobe is, I think it's smarter to buy things that go well together and mix them to create completely different looks.

I probably wouldn't repeat it in the same week, but I would wear it again maybe the following week. I often buy several different peices and mix and match them so as to look like I have lots in my wardrobe when in fact I really dont :) It's different when I am at home though as I may wear the same pair of jeans two days in a row or even the same sweattop if I am not going out.

My working clothes are limited and as I mainly wear black mixed with other colours it is not really noticeable. I have two full suits and I will go a week withour wearing anyone of them (which are blue my favourite colour) and I do change my clothes everyday. I will wear a balck jacket with a straight dress or with a skirt and a different colour top or I just mix them. I guess it is what you have available and what looks good on you.
