Cold & rainy? Soup- any soup is right on a cold & rainy day. You can make chicken soup pretty simply- throw some water in the crockpot, add a couple of boullion cubes, some onion, leftover chicken, veggies, and season with a bit of garlic, parsley, whatever you like - let it cook for an hour or a day, and add noodles 10 minutes before you want to eat it.

I don't know about you but during a rainy days I love to have a hot and spicy food. But 1 thing which is really good during the rainy days is the fried salted fish and top with the lime juice with some bird eye chilies and serve them with a plain rice with some clear cabbage soup. If not, I will fry a fish which I marinated with some turmeric powder, salt and pepper and serve it with some dried shrimp paste 'sambal' or gravy together with my plain rice and the clear cabbage soup. My spouse love to have something sweet for his tea break during the rainy days so I always make him a fried banana which have been dip in a flour dip, or some banana fritters.
