what would you choose for your last meal?

ok so however it ends up.. whether youre on death row or you are terminally ill or old age.. whether a person is holding a gun to your head.. or whether god himself comes down to earth and actually tells you.. youre about to die! and the only question anyone wants an answer to is what you want to eat for your last meal.. so whats its gonna be? are you even hungry knowing youre gonna die? how do you eat a last meal? haha anyways assuming you are hungry and dont wanna die with an empty belly.. assuming you had time to make the choice before you died regardless of how you die.. you get one meal.. one last flavor(s) in your mouth.. whats it gonna be?

its a must have everytime i go home to visit my parents for one.. but what it is, spiced ground beef that you put on a spit and cook.. slice it off as you need it in strips, onions and tomatos are the main things you put with it and a sauce made from milk vinegar and sugar (kinda thick but still runny heh) and its all in a pita.. i dont like tomatos but the onions and extra sauce for sure.. but you could put whatever you want in them i suppose.. http://en.wikipedia.org/King_of_Donair

I just can't stay away from your discussions Canuck! For my last meal, beyond any question or doubt, I would have Spaghetti alla Puttanesca (also know as 'Wh0re's Spaghetti), with a bottle of creamy smooth Cabernet!! Anybody who likes is welcome to join me. Hehehe... but I give you fair warning - it has anchovies and imported olives in. And in my version is also a ton of garlic, which might make all those last goodbye kisses a little less pleasant.

Hehehehe.... yeah, kiss your own a$$ goodbye would be the thing, well, unless we would be permitted to kiss the a$$ (or whatever) of that special loved one!

All cooked by a gourmet chef. Is that a weird request, i haven't see what other people have responded with yet, but i'm sure going to look. What would you have ?

First, I hope I'd have enough advance notice to work up an appetite or at least to not have already "spoiled" my appetite on something I wouldn't want to make last through all eternity. After much consideration, I'd have to choose a nice serving of shrimp cocktail with some nice, spicy cocktail sauce like they serve in a restaurant in my hometown, a nice big tossed salad, probably be bleu cheese dressing but I'm not sure since it usually depends on what I'm hungry for at any given time, then a broiled lobster tail - the REALLY good kind, I think it was Australian that I had once that was "to die for"; OOPS, no pun intended! I'm not sure what kind of potato I'd choose because I like so many; maybe I'd have a small serving of many different kinds of potato dishes if that's OK - baked, with LOTS of butter, scalloped, mashed, and fresh-cut french fries. Since it's my last meal, I must have an ear of sweet corn with loads of butter. For dessert, I'll have a big bowl of rum raisin ice cream and unless this takes place a long time from now I'll be SOOOOO mad I missed out on that for almost my entire life since I never tasted it until a few months ago. I guess that would be a good "last taste" to have left in my mouth! Annie

Durian - tropical fruit - Durian
Currently I am having a Durian craving. Durian is a tropical fruit which has an acquired taste. I think more than 80% of people in my country loves durian.=P I think that would make a good last meal.

It's a tropical fruit so I do not think you can find it in Canada. It has an acquired smell which many Western people could not take it. You can try it if you visit countries like Singapore and Malaysia. =D

If I had to choose my last meal it would, without a doubt, be a T-bone steak cooked on the barbeque and a baked potatoe and a big salad with ranch dressing. And of course a big cheese cake all to myself, with blue berries on it. But with my luck I would be too sick to eat it.

that would be horrible luck if you were to sick to eat your last meal :( great choice in meals though! i have almost the same thing as my choice! steaks are sooo good on the bbq eh? :D im not a fan of blueberries so id have to switch that with strawberries

Your question is kinda funny actually. hehehe.. I don’t think I’ll mind my stomach if I’m on the verge of dying. But let’s say I’m about to be hang from prison, at least I want to have my last decent meal. I like to have European style dinner hahahaha.. goodluck to their chef. I like the way European people serve their meal unlike in my Asian country though some restaurant practice it but not really the real one, just close to it.

Wow!! This is an intersting thought and discussion. I am not sure what I would do. Depending on the circustances I am sure I would make the best of it. If I was able to eat something, I would try and have myself or someone make me one of my favorite meals, and at the time, I would hope that my heart would be right with God so that I know in my mind and heart I would be going to Heaven. Thanks for the interesting discussion.

Well, Canuck, being the gourmand that I am, that would be a difficult choice for me to make. I really love pasta, turnip greens, a perfectly cooked steak, but I'm afraid if it's going to be my very last meal I would have to order chittlins with a side order of coleslaw and a corn muffin, lol.

strawberries are by far my favorite berry :D theyre soooo good! i havent had them in a long time though because i got spoiled when i lived at home in the country, we'd have fresh ones picked daily (my dad supervised the fields workers picked in) so he always brought home plenty of fresh ones every day.. i cant buy them in grocery stores anymore :( theyre just not as good.. but i do love them and anything strawberry flavored!!

I don't really know. Maybe I'll just cross the bridge when I get there... But if I were really into this situation, I don't think I can think of any food to eat. What's the use of eating anyway. You eat because you want to live and since I am dying I'll prefer to die hungry LOL!Im afraid I'm still gonna threw it up thinking I'm going to die soon. !_!
