I would let it dry out. We had a cell phone that fell in a lake , but we found it. A day later the thing worked perfectly fine. I have washed my hubbys USB flash drive a few times and it still works (which I don't consider my fault as he cleans out his own pockets).

Ooh, you are so lucky. I had to start cleaning out Jakobs pants (he is almost nine) ever since he could walk! Everyone once and awhile I forget and we get a crayon stained load of wash.

ouch.... I would take the batteries out as soon as possible and open it up let it dry for a few days. I doubt that it will work again but its worth a try. So sorry mom, but these things happen to the best of us.

My sons does both, holds batteries and charges in at the computer. He just got one for Christmas too, so now you have me thinking I had better pay better attention to his pants and jackets from here on out. Dang really sorry.

when it is hooked up to the computer, charging... isn't it its battery that is being charged? my daughter got one for her birthday and it is hooked into my puter right now but I am looking at it and can not find where it is able to open up to remove or replace a battery.

it is always easy enough to try and save the item first - then what have you lost if it does not work... I am not sure I would rush out to get her another one till she is old enough to remember to empty out her pockets (if it was in her laundry, that is) before putting her clothes to the hamper.

Wat I would do is. take it apart as much as you safely can. Like if it uses batteries take them out and leave the back off. let it sit somewhere where it can get warm but not too warm just enough to help dry it out. I would let it dry out atleast for a few days and then give it a try. This may or may not work it just depends. But I would give this a try before trashing it. Good luck!

let it dry out we bought our 8 year old one for her birthday she loved that thing. she lost it outsdie 3 day before christmas in the snow storm that we had we found it christmas day right after the snow melted and it still worked so try it first before you go throwing it away. I was about ready to cry to.

i have washed many things myself. my son left his Nintendo DS out in the rain over night (torrental rain) and it dried out and is fine. first take a deep breath and calm down and hope that the tech will be fine.

The nintendo DS seems to sell out every year around christmas time. its very bizarre, to me it seems like they probably don't ship as many to keep demand up.

Dry it out with your blow dryer on warm. It should be OK. As long as you didn't Use bleach or ammonia in the wash and you didn't put it in the dryer.
