And I am not talking about discussing it on here. I mean an actual blog. I have a personal blog and I have been writing almost daily about my weight loss struggles. It is nice to know that there are others out there that struggle as I do. And my blog traffic has picked up since I started this. I guess weight loss is a good key word. LOL

Its a great idea, it really is. I am an emotional eater so what I do more than anything is blog about what may compel me to eat. I don't handle stress well. So I eat from that, but getting better overall. Blogging does help and I go on a site called dailystrength.org to do so.

I don't think I am an emotional eater. I try to not eat too much or the bad stuff. But if I restrict myself too much, I end up pigging out. It sucks. You would think that I would learn to control that. I am glad that the blogging gives you strength and support. Yea for you!

Thank you, yes I am definitely an emotional eater. And let me tell you a little secret. You are allowed to "cheat" once a week and in fact it is encouraged for several reasons. One being... well if you feel deprived you will binge! Its inevitable. Secondly, your metabolism sometimes needs to be shaken up. Think about it working the same way all the time, if you are consuming roughly only 1500 calories a day, exercising the same way, eventually it will become so used to the way you eat that it will just slow and stop. This is also why plateaus happen. If you introduce something high in calories to your body but just for ONE day, then get back onto it... it confuses your metabolism and makes it think you have stored some extra fat which one day wouldn't make you do anyway. So it will work well again, once a week is best.. so if you want that greasy pizza on Saturday night, have it! Or if you want that banana split once a week, go for it! But just once a week or else, as we all know that will also defeat the purpose :)

Yes, I do cheat. I usually don't worry so much on my days off. But lately, it has been the days that I have had to stay and work mandatory overtime that have majorly screwed me up.

I don't have a blog specifically for my weight loss statistics, but I do mention it from time to time in my personal blog. As soon as I start exercising, I plan on writing in my blog at least once a week about how much exercise I did that week, and how much weight I lost, if any.

What I am doing is posting what i eat each day. I hope it keeps me in line. I am not blogging just about losing weight tho. I put other stuff in the posts as well. But my traffic has majorly increased since starting the weight loss stuff.

I'll have to remember that. Thanks. I just hope I can lose enough to make posting it be less embarrassing. ^_^
