New plant acquired!

So over the weekend i decided to spruce up my bare empty corridor. I went to a nursery nearby and got myself a potted plant! It has bright dark pink blooms and is about 1-2 feet high. Less than a metre tall. It comes in it's own nice brown pot, and already has about 5 blooms and about 10 buds. I think it will blossom nicely just in time for the Lunar New Year celebrations. I wanted to have a plant so that our home will not look so bare when relatives come and visit. Do you have potted plants in the corridor if you live in a high rise apartment? How often do you water them? The one thing i forgot to do was to ask the nursery owner how many times i should water my plant. I suppose most people water their plants twice a day, once in the morning and once at night? Would appreciate any advice.

It depends on the weather if it's very hot you can water it twice a day if not once a day.

The plant would survive 5 days without water in the winter.

I think watering twice a day is not needed unless your weather is really hot. I'm in a mild climate, so never water more than once a day. Good luck and the plant is beautiful.

I have more information now that I can really see the plant. Its an easy plant to grow and can tolerate poor care. In the summer water regularly, as the better care and you will have more flowers once a day watering is enough and the winter keep the plant a little dryer unless you have a year round growing season like I do in my area. I would still not water every day in what is my "winter". I don't have seasons like many parts of the country.

LOL - ok, first thing is what kind of plant is it. Most potted plants only need to be watered weekly but it really depends on the humidity, heat and the individual plant type. I don't have a corridor but do have lots of potted plants and flowers in the house - I love plants. With winter months and the furance running it tends to be dry in the house so I water everything 2 times a week. In the spring and summer normally just once a week.
