To answer my own question: "Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?" http://www.twitter.com And this is the first I have seen of it but will definately check it out!

I just signed up yesterday and started posting. I am very busy, so I don't know if this is something that I'm going to be able to keep up with or not. I don't have any followers, yet, because I'm so new. I am still working out the layout of the site. It looks like it might be fun. I tried running the app that someone posted, but I couldn't get it to run on my computer. I will look around for another desktop application to work with Twitter and I hope that will help me with using that site.

I have been on Twitter for a while but haven't spent a lot of time playing with it to figure out the best uses for me. I know there were a lot of tech writers who were at the recent tech show in Vegas who were adding twitter entries from the show for people who followed them. That would be cool to be able to get someone's observations in real time from somewhere you couldn't be.
