To Dip or not to Dip!!

Boy. That sounds so good. I love to dip my cookies in milk. I like chocolate chip cookies but peanut butter cookies are my favorite. I like to dip cookies especially if they are a little crunchy because it helps to soften them up. I have also dipped cookies in my coffe when I used to add a little milk in it.

Eeeeeeewwwwww! I am most certianly not a dipper! In the first place I don't like milk at all. When I think about it, I think of how warm your mouth is inside and I wonder why, when the milk gets in there it doesn't curdle (isn't that a disgusting word?). Even if it doesn't curdle because it isn't in your mouth long enough to do so, it still leaves a film inside your mouth and on your tongue. I have always refused to even kiss anyone that has had a glass of milk until they rinse their mouth with water first. I do drink coffee with cream (but my favorite kisses are coffee with cream and sugar), but do not dip or dunk with that beverage. I have tried, but the cookie gets all mushy and mushy is a texture that I abhor (don't take offense, you old bat, abhor is not a name I am calling you!). Not to mention, when you take the last drink, there is a lot of really goopy stuff that gets mixed with the liquid and that makes me gag. As to Oreos, I love the cookie part, so I am one of the people that screw them apart,but I only eat the side that doesn't have the icing on it, and give the other side away. I like to dip the Lorna doone cookies in milk they are so good, Ok, did you hand your grand-son save me any? LOL, no I bet you all eat them all up. I confess, I dip my cookies when I can. I love dunking oreos, chocolate chip and peanut butter. But I like dunking my peanut butter cookies in not just milk, it has to be hot chocolate. I think they taste better that way.

I always dipped my cookies in milk but not anymore,i have gotten latose intolerant, so milk does not like me now days, so i have to just eat cookies with coffee..Oh my goodness i love all kinds of cookies,it would be hard to pick what my favorites are..I love peanut butter cookies,oatmeal cookies w/risians, chocolate chip, sand tarts...I love cookies of all kinds..I have a recipe for a cookie called "dishpan cookies " and they are very good roo...What a lucky little grandson ,having his grandma making him cookies..These are the memories that last a lifetime...

Whether or not I dip cookies depends on the cookie itself, not the type. If the cookie's crunchy and hard, i'll dip it, but if it's soft & chewy [which I LOVE], I won't.

I usually don't dip my cookies...but sometimes I do. It all depends on if I'm having my cookie as is or with milk. My husband always dips it in tea...but since I don't drink tea regularly and I don't like the cookie and tea mix, I don't do it. My son sometimes dips it in milk but not always.

I don't dip mine but I don't like milk either so maybe that's why. I like to eat cookies though...I just don't dip.

I do not dip. I like my cookies nice and crunchy. If I were to dip, I guess the kind that I would do is ginger snaps, because they are hard. Besides I had some of my teeth capped and so they do not get cavities now.

I haven't dipped in years, but only because the cookies I eat now are too soft for dipping. My favorite cookies are Pepperidge Farm, the soft baked, so I don't dare dip them as they may just fall apart in the process! LOL I don't like pieces of cookie in my glass of milk...yuck! :P However when I used to dip my cookies they would be Chips Ahoy or Oreo cookies. :) Maybe the next time I go to the store I'll get one or the either...heck with it, maybe I'll get both! LOL That way I can go back to dipping cookies once again! :D

Whether I dip or not depends on the kind and softness of the cookies, I dip in milk but I absolutely cannot drink the milk after it gets down so low... something about the texture of the soggy cookie crumbs in the milk bothers me, I can't even drink the milk from my cereal bowl. wierd huh?

I don't dip anything when I eat the cookies. I just like to eat cookies right away.

Not a chance! I have never understood the concept of dipping cookies in milk. it makes it soggy and I hate the taste but each to their own!

I like dipping hard cookies in milk, especially store bought ones like Chips Ahoy. Although I like to take the inside out of the oreos and eat just the chocolate wafers.

Yuppers, I'm a dippity do too. I like dipping oatmeal cookies in tea. I've never really cared for dipping them in milk. When you think about it, I have hot oatmeal for cereal and put milk on it and like it, but not so with the cookies. Maybe it's because the tea is hot and the cookies are cold, and the cereal is hot and the milk is cold? Oatmeal's the only kind I dip, others I eat plain. My grandson (4) saw me dipping my cookies one day and looked at me strange, so I gave him a bite and he liked it. Now he dips his sometimes too when we have cookies, but he likes his in milk.

I hate soggy cookies! No way would I did my cookie in milk. I dont like milk either unless it is chocolate milk. I can drink chocolate milk but not white. Why would anyone want a soggy cookie is beyound me. Come to think of it, I dont know anyone that dips cookies in milk. Hmmm?

I love cookies with milk. But I dip only oreos. hehe. I don't like the bitter taste of the oreo cookies, so after licking the filling, I dip the cookies in milk. As for other kinds of cookies, I enjoy eating them even without dipping them.

I am not a dunker. Mainly because I hate milk, but really don't eat many cookies either. I like mine plain with no milk at all especially not dunked.

My daughter and I like chocolate cookies most. I like to dip them in milk or even in tea. But my daughter likes them to it as it is .. crispy!!
