How has the writer's strike affected the new season?

We were discussing House at work a few days ago, someone expressed some concern over the writers' strike and the thought that there may not be a new season. This is my all time favorite television show, and while I don't mind watching the reruns, I would prefer to see some new material. Does anyone know what is going on with this?

The writers are now talking again, so I think we will have a season next year. There is a new episode this Tuesday and one on Sunday after the Super Bowl also. I'm really looking forward to these episodes. I hope the Sunday one runs again next week, as I'm not a Super Bowl watcher.

You can catch them on USA about a week after they air on Fox. I usually record it on our DVR, but if I miss it, and forget, I usually see it on USA network. I love that Channel, law and order back to back, mixed in with House, Psych, and Monk. I even got in to Burn Notice last year and am waiting on those new episodes to start too!!

I don't know but I miss my shows (Desperate Housewives, Private Practice and Grey's Antomy) so I wish they would hurry up!

I haven't watched House recently, simply because it doesn't seem to be on its regular channel 5. Maybe the show has been put on cable? (I hope not, as I don't have cable.)

We have three more episodes(Inc Tonights) then the trouble starts. The one good thing could be all these shows with really good epiodes because the writers have had so long to work on them.
