Even If I'm Not Here...

I'm here! That's right, I'm not "here" - as in online - at the moment due to a problem with my telephone line (yes, I'm one of THOSE who hasn't come into the 21st century yet) but I decided to make use of this down time and make it not be down at all! I'm gotten some lemons so I'm busy here making a great big barrel of lemonade! And when I get my annoying, irritating telephone problem resolved you'll get a virtual taste of that lemonade. It won't be in little trickles and drops as it would be if I were online and posting my new discussions and responses one at a time but rather a flood when I get connected and send them all out to you in a humongous GUSH! Last year I probably would have sat here and pouted about how I'm missing out on being on myLot and accomplished pretty much nothing other than going through my inbox since I had the opportunity to delete some before more came flooding in but not this time! This is all part of the New Me for the New Year! I decided not to call them all the old standby "resolutions" because they're just too easy to break, at least they always have been for me. Instead I've adopted the motto of "New Year, New Me" which simply means I'm going to work harder on my flaws and to improve myself in a reasonable and attainable fashion. One day at a time, one STEP at a time and even it they're little baby steps that's fine, it's a start. No beating up or stressing out of myself, it gets me nowhere and all it does is cause me to waste more time and that's one of the flaws I'm working to improve. To make this a discussion, have you made any changes in the New Year even if you chose not to make any actual "resolutions", or to call them that anyway? When you have what appears to be a big roadblock in your way do you just sit around idly and wait for it to be removed or do you find a way around it - or above or through it? And have you ever had a problem with annoying dial-up if you're one of my fellow cavepersons? Annie

that's a good way to go about it, no chance of giving anything up,no expectations set too high...awesome!! I have set my resolutions and so far have tackled and defeated only one...smoking, yep-I'm smoke free!Don't miss it either!!I also have a resloution to improve my business,by dedicating more time and effort into it, which I am slowly working on, but at least I am attempting it,right?...and last, I have decided to go back to school to further my education.I have begun that process, so I would say I am already doing better than last year, where I just gave up the first week of Jan with the whole quite smoking thing & the rest of the year was all down hill from there :) gl on your new outlook,I'm sure you will succeed in all that you attempt :)
