Years ago I had a dog that had hot spots and there just wasn't anything good for the cure that I could find.It was such a frustrating problem. Now I've come across a recipe for it on the computer that people have tried with success. Here's
the recipe for it.-
one third listerine any flavor, one third baby oil,one third water.Shake up in a spray bottle and spray on dog, rubbing it
into the spot.Listerine dries it out and the baby oil soothes it.Make sure you wash your hands after touching hot spots.
I knew a lady once that said she had a hot spot on her head from her dog.She said it was always hot and she couldn't get rid of it.

You can also use tea tree oil or witch hazel to soothe the area.
For ringworm, use athlete's foot fungus cream. It's the same as in the expensive vet creams that treat ringworm but at a fraction of the cost. Tinactin makes a good brand and Neosporen also has a brand.
