this anime created by Masashi Kishimoto, hits the world and suddenly drives people craving for more.. do you like naruto? do you watch every episode of it.. if you like it then what is with this anime that captivated you? if you dont, why do you dislike it? personally, i didnt like it at first, another ninja anime, another hero effects.. but when i continued watching.. it goes deeper.. the storyline is interesting, the techniques used is somewhat really true with the clans of ninja... the characters are fascinating.. and each had their own personality which other anime doesnt have.. what about you? what can you say...

I liked it from the beginning, and I watched it via fansubs on the internet long before it came out here in the United States. I think from the very first episode I was swept away with the title characters attitudes and energy. Also, while it is "another ninja anime", I liked the way the ninja lifestyle was shown here better than in any other ninja show I've seen. The inner workings of the ninja villages, the politics involved, and the fight between the "a ninja is a weapon" and the "a ninja is also a person" philosophies really worked for me. Plus, all of the characters are just so awesome. The heroes, the villians, the side characters, everyone. I can't think of a single character in the world of Naruto that I actually do not enjoy in some way, even the ones that aren't my favorites. All of the characters are so well-developed, even secondary characters or villians that might on another show have just been there and gone again without really being explained. My favorite character is of course the one in my avatar. :P

Gaara is a really interesting character. The bond between him and Naruto is really neat as well. What I really love is that once his viewpoint about the world does start to change (after his fight with Naruto), he starts to pursue his new goals just as relentlessly as he pursued his old goal of killing to affirm his existence. I love also that while Gaara's ideas about bonds with others, love, and true strength change, his whole personality doesn't really change. He's still quiet, creepy Gaara in a lot of ways, despite the internal changes he goes through. When he does offer some kind of emotion or affection towards someone, it's still in kind of an awkward and distant way. In the hands of another writer, his complete turnaround might have destroyed the character by making him suddenly actually GOOD at interpersonal relationships, but instead he is overall still Gaara, just with a new outlook. Eh, I got carried away! :P

I love Gaara! He's my favorite character as well. .The rings around his eyes make him look like a panda and sometimes I just want to give him a big hug. (; I have his plushie, in Shipuuden clothing. I want his other plushie where he's wearing his old stuff too. . .I have the Sand Headband I bought from this anime store I go to and matching sand nin gloves. . .hehe. I'm obsessed with Gaara.

Yes I do like it. I'm particularly fond of Shipuuden more than I was of the prequel but I did like the scenes where they showed Naruto and Gaara's past. I wept. The first thing that strunk out to me was it was not JUST another ninja anime. I've seen other ninja anime before and they bored the hell out of me to be honest. Naruto is just an anime that has you begging for more. I even watched the filler episodes. . .I just love Shino's unique laugh lol. My friends think his laugh is creepy but I love it. I'm not very fond of bugs but. . .if Shino were real I might reconsider. He'd be a cool person to have as a friend. (; The fact that the main character had a demon fox in him that destroyed thousands had me hooked. I think Kyuubi is cute lol. And also the fact that the main character is adorable. .:P. First appearances are always important. xD If I don't like the. . .way they drew the characters I wouldn't even bother checking it out for the plot itself. Even if it might be the sort of plot I like. ^^; Naruto rocks and I'm glad they have this many episodes and is on-going! (even though I have been falling behind on the episodes. . .but not willingly. . .I've just been so busy with school things. . .have a project due for English and finals next week. So lame. .During spring break, I am definately going to watch any episodes I haven't seen yet. .)

I watched all the filler episodes too. I can understand why they are "filler" but to be honest I really enjoyed some of the character development that they showed, plus there were some definite funny parts. The Shino laughing one was great! :p See, that's what is so great about Naruto! I love so many of the characters! Shino is so awesome too... though if I have a favorite among the younger Konoha ninja, it'd be Shikamaru.

here in india we have not had Naruto yet and I dread the day when we will. As it is, I am sick and tired of all these Japanese cartoons on indian tv (apologies to any Japanese here) starting right from Pokemon and ending to the latest being Nobita & Doremon. all the characters look alike, they talk alike, they sound alike, the stories are alike and equally dumb and they are kind of infusing some alien definition of everyday life into our children. i mean all that these cartoons show are japanese names, japanese food at home, japanese homes, japanese moms, japan's roads, cities ufff sometimes i forget that i am actually an indian living in an indian city. and every darned children's channel are featuring nothing but these dumb charades. and what do these charades teach our children? nothing but violence and more violence and some fantastic creature coming to the rescue of the hapless hero who cant look after himself without robotic help. i mean our children are growing up in some fantasy land and not learning anything worthwhile really!

Hi vehaileairu, I am sorry I can't contribute much to this since we do not get it here in India. But going by the descriptions, courtesy: lecanis and others, I am sure i would love it as well. I get that the characters are unique and human with different personality traits. Will wait till it comes to India. Till then, Happy watching.

I don't really like Narurto, the reason is simple. I don't like Anime. My 8 and 10 years old sons both love Naruto though. My 8 year old just asked me for the dvd's and a Naruto Nintendo DS game for his birthday in March. We'll see.

My other half is addicted to Naruto. Me I like it and I'll watch it and I actually do enjoy it. They have and interesting story line with very interesting characters who developement has been awesome and there is the underlying factors that keep you drawn in ... I would have to say that my favorite character would be Naruto and Sakura. If you like naruto you should try Bleach it is a very great anime.

I don't watch it personally, as I'm not a huge fan of anime. That being said, my 12 yr old son and his friends all love it. The girls that hang out with him have begun drawing their own "Naruto" type pictures and stories. It seems to be quite inspiring to them.
