do you really like shopping?

well as a woman i think i am weird. i dont like shopping for myself, but i do enjoy shopping for others. i think buying gifts. i like to see the expression on some ones face when they open a gift.
yes christmas is my favorite holiday.
but i dont know why i dont like shopping for myself. it has gotten to the point that i have to make myslef shop for myself, so i can have some things for me.
maybe its they way i was brought up. mama elsie (the lady whom took care of me) never shopped for herslef. she always made sure the bills were paid there was, food in the house, and that shoebie (dad) and the kids had cloths and shoes. she never bought herslef a thing.
she did this to a point that at 10 years old i decided not to eat lunch, and save my money to buy her a christmas present. i think i have gotten this from her, but im trying to get out of it now in 2008.
do you like shopping? for yourself or others?

I am a girl who can shop for whole day.sometimes i shop from morning to evening,and my leg couldn't walk.But i usually didn't shop for myself.I only shopping with my friends to help her shop.
I am also like you.I don't like shopping for myself,but i do like to shopping for others,as my friends or relations or parents.
I willn't shop for myself till i have someting must to buy.Sometimes when i shopping with my friends,i will see a lot of beautiful thing.then i have eager to have them,not for me.I will think the one is fit for my parents?or fit for my younger sister?everytime when i finish my semester,and go home,i always have gifts for my family.Looking them smile with holding the gifts,i am so happy!

I love shopping, almost weekly im in shopping mall, but when i realize that i make my self spoiled about shopping just i made a window shopping but sometimes i cannot control i need to buy even 1 pair he he he he .

I love to shop! Usually only at walmart. I dont know why but walmart is my favorite store. I even like it better than the mall. Walmart has everything you could need in one store. But of course like you mom did I always make sure bills are paid and my daughter has diapers and wipes and food. Then if i have some extra money I go shopping for myself.

hi drkimble05. I don't like shopping in general. It makes me feel tired. I do whole shopping once a week, because I don't like to go to the shop often. As it comes to buying presents, I don't like it too. Even more, I have no need to give or receive gifts. And I prefer gifts without any occassion.
Am I even more weird as a wonam?LOL
My mother likes to buy things for herself and for whole family too. She likes shopping. So it is not the way I was brought up:).

I personally prefer to bask in the comfort of the air-con without the need to go in and out of shops trying to look for something. It is worst if I cannot find something I like or I think the recipient will like receiving. I only shop when necessary and when I have specific things in mind. Window shopping is more enjoyable. lol.

I do like shopping for myself, but I only shop when I really need something. I can't just go out and shop needlessly. "even though it would be fun" I love shopping for others though, but I never go overboard. I guess I'm just to darn practicle. My kids say I'm so cheap I sqeak lol.

oooooooooooh no! This is very hard thing for me. I always avoid shopping . I don't want to waste my time . Specially I get boared whan I go to a dress store. Elctorincs product are somehow easy because I read all specification on the Internet and by only that specific model.But it is my weekness that I avoid shopping . Shopping is a part of our daily life so one shoud learn how to do this properly and easily with saving time.

I absolutely love shopping, even grocery shopping. Like you, I do have a hard time spending money on myself though. My husband gets irritated with me sometimes because I am alwas buying stuff for other people but never want to get myself anything.
I did bu myself some new scrapbooking stuff a few days ago and that made him happy.

yes i do love shopping for myself and loved ones. but i'm more of the practical shopper. i choose items that can be useful for a long time. i rarely buy things that are more on vanity. and if it is food, it has to be something really special.

It's different with me, i love shopping for myself than others, guess that made me sound not thoughtful at all but i am trying to exert effort to shop for my love ones too it just that when i tried to shop for others i don't know what to buy them and i keep on having second thoughts of buying them stuff so i ended up buying for myself instead.
You are not weird, you're just a nice person and your friends and love ones are lucky to have you. You'll be blessed by shopping for others.

I do like to shop, i like shopping for myself as well as for others..It does sound like you mama elsie was a very kind and nice lady and always put others before her self..Also shoebie Dad was also a very good Dad, for this reason i feel you were very blesswed to have them in your life....It could be that you watched her and how she did and it could be that you have followed in her ways..However you ahve to understand that she had children to thonk about first,and that is why she did this..It is ok for you to shop for yourself as long as you are also making sure others are cared for as well...

I think shopping is one of women's interests:) I enjoy shopping and sometimes I will buy something that are not necessary. This is why people always say that it can be a great profit to earn from women and children. I usually go shopping for others, especially for my family.

I am alot like you. I like to shop for others especially the grandkids...or take them with so they can pick out what they want. I really only like to shop with my younger sister and my best friend too. That seems to be the time when I can buy something for myself. I think we must have been raised alot alike. Then I raised my children and they got everything first and were very appreciative so I still like buying for them too. And at this point in my life I really don't need alot of anything!

well you're probably not weird, just different ;) ..and besides, there are girls who doesn't really fancy shopping, and that's even weirder haha. I love to shop- for myself and for others. Just that I need to cut down on my shopping coz I'm like really broke now hehe T___T
