That's good for you. As for me, I never plan to buy a real estate.. Better rent an apartment. Anytime I want to move, I'll move. For me, it means independence.. Never dependent on the house itself. It sounds funny, isn't it?

At this point in time real estate is booming.... I guess there are a lot of infrastructure going on around. I guess you are on the right track investing on it. As for me I am making it a goal to have my own place too. Its just that I could not afford it at the moment but time will come I would get mine soon.

I live in a small but cozy apartment with my baby and husband who only goes home every five months... i dream of owning my own house oneday... where i can plant my trees... have a cute dog... and a small play house for my baby and other future babies...
When i was still single... i tried living on my own for 1 year... it was nice to be independent from my parents... i can do whatever i want... but of course with limitations... and the responsibility of taking care of myself is a good feeling...

I don't have this plan now. As buying a house is quite expensive today. It is not the right time to purchase it now. Perhaps one day when we have more extra money, we will consider it. I think a real state is always a good thing for investment.

Carefully research the responsibilies of owning your own home! I encourage you to do so, own your own home that is! But caution you to remember that all the reponsibilities of home-ownership can be overwhelming. You must remember that monthly, it's not just your mortgage, but all the overhead expenses. For example; my mortgage payment is 570.00. I know that I have to have 1070 (which is low) You have to keep a nest egg, cuz all repairs fall on your shoulders. And you must set aside money for insurance and property taxes. If you want to see how fast a year can fly by...it's property tx/insurance time again. Last year I had to put a new roof on my house....7 grand! OUCH! I have owned my home since 1992. I am female! I live alone! I took basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical & "fix-it" courses. I am a "tradesperson"...and I know how much we people cost you an hour. Learn to fix that basics yourself! I saved myself a fortune by removing the old roof myself & assisting the roofer putting the new one on! The computer with it's wonderful resources can walk you thru many problems to. GOOD LUCK!!! SMILES!!
