This is driving me crazy! I hate when it is time to get food in the house. He doesn't want to go and spend the money. This is what the whole issue is about! I can get by with anything to eat. Peanut Butter, Ceareal, eggs or just anything at all. But since I cook the meals the thing is I have to have something to cook. It is the same thing every time we get low on food. Talk about having to push a person. It is ridiciously absolutely! I am getting fed up with it. But let me tell you he makes sure he has his cigerettes. We go into St. Louis every week to get his 2 cartons of cigerettes. Talk about a backwards priority. I am fed up with having to convince him we need food in the house.

I have this problem as well. My hubby thinks that we should only have to spend 50$ on groceries a week. but its closer to 100 EVERYTIME. but he thinks i guess we should go without food to accomidate this needs for money! Today was really the last straw, I am no longer going to go to the grocery store with him. He got all this extra stuff to nake these stupid cookies that his mom gave him a recipe for, and then started to blame me that i spent too much money!! HA i ask him about EVERYTHING that i put in the cart. . The only extra that i got on top of the usual stuff we needed like meat milk and potatoes was a small pack of coffee that cost less then 2$ and a box of clementines that was 5.99.. its the only fruit our daughter will eat!! I will refuse to go from now on. Screw it! i'm tired of the fight. I dont work.. at a job to make money, i work at home to take care of our kid, and i'm 8 and a half months preggo, i dont need the stress, or the drama!

It's like pulling his teeth out to get him to go to the store. Every time we do finally go he keeps commenting on how exspensive every thing is. I have told him before that you now it is not years ago when we could go in the store and fill more than a few bags for a small amount of money. I've told him to get over it. But today it was the same as always and I just get tired of the same thing every time we get low on food. I don't eat that much. But we went over yesterday to Missouri and got his two cartons of cigerettes. Never was a word said about how expensive they are and unhealthy to boot. No, you don't need the stress. I don't blame you at all for telling him that you are going to stay home and he can go to the store. I just shake my head. It boggles my mind!

my son does my grocery shopping and basically it is when he feels like it as well. I cannot go to the grocery store because I cannot walk and we don't have a car.

Yes. We have to have that food. It isn't about spending money in my home, it is mostly about running that dreadful errand. We both put it off in my household. We are so burnt out on eating all kinds of foods and we tend to buy the same things over and over again. I can make a list and hubby will go get it, but I hate sending him to do it every time. He don't get the extras because he doesn't think like I do even if it isn't written down.
