iv always thought it was just one of those things models and celebrities say to relate to the normal people, while there secretly using amazing and expensive face creams. i figured why not give this "water" thing a shot. i decided that instead of making myself stick to some strict water drinking routine, i would just drink water as often as i could. all i did was change how often i had the water available to me. i kept a full bottle of water with me when ever i would go out somewhere. and i would only drink soda or juice was with meals. i face is way better now. its more brighter, healthier, and not as dry. and its also making me feel better. does drinking water help you?

Have you read a book called Your Body's Many Cries for Water? The subtitle is "You are not Sick, You are thirsty" and the author, F. Batmanghelidj, MD, explains that many people go around so chronically dehydrated that they don't even experience normal thirst any more. His book is a real eye-opener. He feels and I agree, that most illnesses that people experience in the so-called civilized world are really different side effect from drinking innapropriate beverages instead of water. This is particularly true of dementia in older people. There is no reason for people to lose mental acuity as they age, and so many other illnesses follow from there. Yes, I absolutely think that drinking water is beneficial to one's appearance as well as the the overall good health that makes us feel good as well as looking good. I keep several 20 oz bottles of filtered water frozen solid in the freezer and at night I pull several out and put them in the refrigerator to start melting. I drink the water off the ice as it melts, and get a new bottle as soon as I finish one. I take a bottle with me everywhere I go and drink 4 or 5 bottles every day. I also put alkaline drops in my drinking water (or run it through a mechanical aklalizer such as the Jupiter Technos) to help with Ph-balance. Healthy cells need water!

Drinking water of at least 6-8 glasses is a must if we want to have a clear complexion. Our body compose a lot of water and in tropical countries where we live we really need a lot of water to keep us hydrated and to help the cells in our body to work properly. It also cleanse and get rid of toxins in the body.

Drinking water is good not only for your complexion it is also good for your over all health. Did you know that the sugar in soda lowers your immune? It will weaken it so much in one day you are much more likely to catch the flu or a cold then if your drinking water. That same sugar can affect your brain cells. It can slow them down. Try going with out soda for at least a week and see how your grade do.orgrades do.

Hi ChristenBabyy, I don't normally give much attention to my complexion, as there are other matters more demanding of my time. However, our bodies do need a lot of fluid to keep running in the way they are meant to be - strong, healthy and full of life. If we don't get enough water in our daily routine, then our bodies automatically limit it's availability to those parts of us that are least important - starting with our skin, I'd suppose. So if one is worried about one's skin, one should probably be careful to avoid becoming dehydrated. I've got my own theories about what sort of nutrition we really need or are built for. If the world was once covered from pole to pole in rainforest, then there would always have been an abundance of fruits for everyone to eat, day in and day out. And fruits would have given us all the nutrition we needed - including fluids. Humans would never have been thirsty in that environment. That idea helps to explain why people don't actually "feel" thirsty until they're already dehydrated. Thirst wasn't built into our natural state of affairs, it's something that's crept up on our environment for one reason or another. All the more reason to make a conscious effort to make sure to drink lots, or to eat lots of fresh fruit and veges, each day.

I am sure that drinking water does help one's comlexion. This is because your skin needs to keep hydrated, & well hydrated skin is less likely to have outbreaks of pimples & rashes, etc. Water is also very good for your kidneys. It keeps them flushed. Not just any old water. Drink water that is purified or filtered if possible.

I am one of the believers of the wonders of water. I do drink water a lot and i have noticed that it does improve my complexion. Those who don't drink much water have dry complexion. Water also has healing properties and it does eliminate toxins from ones body. You also need water to metabolize those fat cells and to appear slimmer. When one drinks less water, the body has the tendency to store more water and that is why we feel and look bloated because the body would think that it needs to store water since its always thirsty. But if one drinks more water, the body won't be storing water but uses it right away to flush away the impurities. Happy drinking and Good luck to a clean and healthy life!

Yes or at least it does if you are dehydrated. If you are already drinking enough water then I don't know if drinking more would make any difference. I have a friend who I had not seen in a while and when I saw her I was amazed at how much younger and healthier her skin looked so I asked her what she was doing. She told me she was drinking lots of water. She was also eating healthier, more fresh fruits and veggies. I decided to try drinking more water since I usually drink diet cokes all day and no water. In a couple of days I could tell a difference. I really don't like the taste of water but I force myself or drink flavored water. Another thing I noticed is that it cuts down my appetite.

Drinking water is essential to our health. Our body requires it to circulate nutrients and flush out toxins and waste. It helps with digestion, elimination, joint flexibility, healthy skin and hair, everything. When I was working I kept a mug of water with me all the time, sipping all day long. I drank lots of water that way. But since retiring I forget about it. I have to consciously remind myself to go get some water and drink it. Thanks for reminding me!

I think drinking water helps a lot. I normaly drink abaout 2l per day and my skin is much better then a few years ago. I normally drink "Volvic", dunno if u know that but this water is awesome, tastes goooood =P I did it like u. I take every day to school exactly 1l water and in most cases I drink all the water, not every day of course. And at home there is always a bottle of water in my room. It helped a lot, i get up better in the morning, im happier, my skin is not so dry anymore and u feel better. OweeedyO

Surely It does. Drink 2 liter of water. This will clean the body. The skin will be radiant and a fresh look appears. It is not necessary that a person should drink 2 liters at the same time, he or she can take it in parts but overall should be 2 or more liters.

Hi ChristenBabyy, Drinking water is always good for both health and complexion. I do take lot of water but I do not know how far my complexion has changed but it is proved beyond doubt that water do change the complexion. I am taking plenty of water under doctor advice because of unusual cramps I have deveoloped. Lack of water contents in body leads to cramps and now I am feeling alright. To my knowledge water is a best medicine because it reduces the toxic chemicals that are produced during the functions of the body and skin being the most important in releasing the toxic material by way of sweat and moisture, it is defenite that water helps in this. Good Luck.

I'm in the same boat as you are: Water! Water and nothing but water. Wasn't water the main drink of the beginning? Of course water is good for you. It has better tendency of letting people release fluids through their bladder and throughout their body. Of course 3 glasses of 8 ounce water helps throughout the day. If there are people who consistantly pound in sodas and other high sugar drinking products it will cause bigger issues in the long run. Great posting and like the idea you choose water as the main source to drink.
