most People would be asleep including me Well here is the Story I went to bed at 10.30pm as I was tired 2 weeks ago I moved the Furniture in the Bedroom round as I like to do that I get fed up with it being the same Ok I know I should not be doing that but I do and I know of at least 2 People that are going to tell me of here and I know of one Person that I will hear all the way from Scotlandto here the South shouting at me hehehehehe specially as we spoke this morning and I never told her hehehehehe Anyway The Bed was by the Window Well for the last 10 Nights no matter what time I go to bed I have been tossing and turning and not gone to sleep till 2am Last night the same and I was getting irritated by it, I tried to read, nope eyes where shutting, turned of Lights and hey look I am tossing and turning, I went to the Computer in the Living room turned it on, decided I did not want to be on the Computer went back to bed, tossing and turning. Well by 1.30am I was angry irritated and had enough, so,guess what I did?????????????????????????? I changed the Bedroom round yep to get rid of my Anger and also I believe it might have been because my Bed was so close to the Window. Now there was one thing, Gissi, he was not happy as I had to move his bed to so I was in trouble with him, also it has not done my Stomach or breathing much goodbut hey I slept after that So anyone else ever done that or is it just me that is so bright to change furniture round at that time of the Morning? Oh Gissi slept in the Living room till 7am, I guess he did not appreciate his bed being moved to lol

Oh My dear Gabs! So sorry to hear that you have been having troubles sleeping!! You are much like my mother in that she always likes to rearrange the furniture in different rooms of the house...I remember growing that the two of us would work together to rearrange both of our bedrooms every so often and then you would wake up in the middle of night and be disoriented and fall over something! LOL I remember one time ending up in he living room instead of the bathroom! LOL (These types of changes occurred quite often! :) I can't do this now as the rooms of my apartment are so small...the furniture only works one way! :) Anyway, I do want you to watch what you do and look after yourself but I am happy that you slept better after that! I must say that that is a strange hour to be moving furniture though! ;) ~Heavens~

Ahem.....and you tell ME not to overdo it! What am I going to do with you? You're as stubborn and hard headed as I am young lady! Even though I don't think you should have moved things around like that, because of your breathing and the risk it could have caused, I understand why you did it. So now tell me....are you sleeping better now that the bed is not close to the window? And has Gissi forgiven you yet? LOL Love and hugs to you hon.

Believe it or not, this is restful for me. It just sort of calms me down to be here with all of my friends. I'm glad Gissi has given you some leeway. But from what I've read, it looks like you are grounded for life with Mummymo! LOL

When I first move into a room I'm likely to move the furniture until I get it the way I like it. then it doesn't move again. Now, I'm kind of funny, I don't really like to sleep against the wall, I did it for years, thinking that was the way I liked it, but when I pulled it out into the room I liked it better. I had one room set up the same for about 8 years, the only reason I had to change it was because the roommate needed to be closer to the door. I finally moved out of the same room & into the small room (8'x 10'.) I was there for about 3 years and rearranged it 4 times before I got the way I liked it. I have now been in this room for 3 years & not once rearranged it, but I'm quite happy with the arrangement, maybe because I've started out not against the wall...

When you have got a lot of your mind and I know you have sleep becomes impossible, and anything is better than tossing and turning and when you can't sleep your brain seems to go on overdrive and won't shut down, it gnaws away at you and you start thinking about things which trigger off bad thoughts and you start to dwell on them, so by moving furniture you tire yourself out that as soon as you hit the sack sleep becomes much easier. I find the computer actually keeps me more alert and is not good for bringing on tiredness, but each to their own. I find a good book helps me or a suduku puzzle. Wolfie needs his 9 hours sleep regardless or he's a big grouchy wolf and I am NOT a morning person, I'm more what you class as nocturnal xxx

When my first hubby was a truck driver I did a lot of things at 1:00 in the morning. I also started once to trim my hair, and ended up giving myself a really short haircut at 2:00 am once. I am sure I also moved furniture, did dishes, and some fancy cooking, and some sewing. In addition to being too close to the window, is it possible there was some light coming in from the street? I know that I had that problem when we first arranged our room. There was one light at the building across the street, and it would disturb me all night.I am glad that this was an effective remedy for your sleeplessness.

My niece has trained as a hairdresser, and I will ask her to cut for me, but I still will trim it. It is thick and wavy enough that no matter what I do it still seems to look the same.

OH twin... have you been meeting my mother in law lately ? LOL See poor gissi feels like the lady that came back to see her furniture all changed, now you can imagine how upset she was when talking to me over the phone heheheh Well but it's done now and I'm sure gissi is already fine with it - or close - so tell me did moving the bed work? DId it help you to sleep better? If it did, then that was a great idea... apart from the fact that you shouldn't be moving anything !!!! But ok, it's done, now don't go doing it again :):) Hugs and sleep well

I haven't had that problem from rearranging furniture but I have tried to leave things half done and cannot sleep until I get up and take care of it. It's the obsessive side of me :) **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Long as you took your time and didn't overdo it, I won't yell at ya, gabs. lol I've cleaned this whole house from top to bottom in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep plus rearrange furniture, did yard work (yep, out in the dark night lol), and other stuff when I couldn't sleep. Your body just wasn't physically ready to retire for the night is all. That's why you were able to sleep after rearranging your bedroom. You wore your body out doing all that physical work. lol

I am glad you finally got some sleep! No, I have never re-arranged furniture in the middle of the night. I have however decided to paint the living room. I have no idea why I couldn't wait until the next morning. It was silly but I did it anyway and I even instilled the help of my friend. :)

lol...welcome to the gang! I have these fits often and I'm actually doing some work in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep. And yes, I have moved furniture too...but it's not the bedroom furniture....my husband's too heavy for me to move the bed with him on it! It's usually the living room furniture that gets moved around and we have the rest of the family tripping over furniture in new places in the morning! I think they've got used to it now and are wide awake as soon as they are up just to make sure mommy hasn't been moving anything around!

feng shui - home design
Moving furnitures is good idea and bad idea. It is normal for many people to feel the difference including sleepless nights. Make sure that you are not too close to windows. Check on Feng Shui guidelines, it is very helpful.... Take care, HUGS! http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_design_feng_shui/article/0,,HGTV_3371_5634809,00.html
