I enjoyed Forrest Gump. Tom did a great job in this role. He is in the top ten of my favorite actors, but Forrest Gump isn't in my top ten favorite movies.
I think, so far, Tom's best performance was in Castaway. For most of the movie, he was the only character in the movie we saw. He did a marvelous job of keeping me interested. When he lost his "best friend", Wilson, at sea, I cried along with him.
He also did a marvelous job in Philadelphia. I thoroughly enjoy Big. If you haven't seen that one, check it out. He plays a character that, as a young boy, makes a wish to be big. Well, he gets his wish. He turns into a full grown man with a child's mentality. It is a comedy, but has it's drama.

Although I liked Tom in Terminal. I just thought the premise of that movie was silly. I mean, could something like that actually happen? Maybe so, but I don't think I have ever heard of it happening. I know, I know....there are lots of movies that are about "made up" things that never actually have or could happen..like Big, for example. I did watch Terminal all the way through, but I am sure it was because Tom was in it. Come to think of it, it was sweet how some of the characters treated him and typical how some of the other characters treated him. And the character had to use his imagination and resources at hand to survive on a daily basis. I did especially like it when he figured out he could get money by returning carts. That was cool. Okay, okay, maybe I did like the movie after all :P

I rate this film the first. This film impressed me more than other films when I first watched it. In the first place, it introduces the spirit of forrest gump which encourages me to move forward. On the other hand, the film illustrates the history of the United States. I like the old songs in the film. Furthermore, I can study English by reading through the film. It has been a famous film for students in China to learn English.

This is one of the movies I choose to own. I found it rather unique.I watch it about once a year. For me that is a lot, I have very little time to watch movies.

Yes Forest Gump was one of Tom Hanks best preformances. Its not my favorite movie but its up there. My husband loves it and can still watch it every time its on.

Tom Hanks is an extremely talented actor! His best performance would be forest gump I agree with you on that. There is never a time when I watch that movie that I don't wind up crying. Its just such a wonderful movie I love it. One of my favorite movies of all time!

I agree Forest Gump has been one of my favorite movies since it came out at the movie theatre. He did a great performance in this. He did pretty good in The Green Mile but I like Forest Gump better though.

It has been years since I have viewed this movie. I know it was good but I would not rate it one of the best out there.

The problem with deeming a performance the best all depends on how old you are, what you have seen, and you taste in film.I think Forrest Gump was a good film and Tom was great in it. But it isn't on MY top 10 list of great films.It is a sweet film and I usually don't like or watch this type of film but I wanted to see why Everyone was buzzing about it.

It is one of his best if not his best..I have watched that movie several times and each time i have enjoyed it...I think Tom Hanks is a very talented actor,and he certainly played a hard part in Forest Gump.and did a very good job....Sally field is one of my faorites too, playing his mother....
