I guess most of us are getting mylot digest. Do you try to answer all or atleast most discussions from this mylot digest? I tried to do so for initial few days. now i do not manage to do that every day. I was not present here on mylot for few days for my dad's illness. i am very much worried about him. But i like to answer most from the digest. What is your case?

i only answer those that i'm interested in. usually, it won't be much as most of them have lots of responses that are basically similar to mine. if there are topics that i'm interested in, then it's easier for me to contribute quality posts. if no topics of my liking, i don't post.

But even a similar response can be different in many ways as well. It's all how they are worded actually. I try to answer even though I may say basically the same thing but in different words or not so many words. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

grins i do do that too though. hehe i tend to either be long winded about it giving my own experiences if possible, or be short and sweet. thanks grandpa bob.

Depends. If I find time, I see the mylot digest. Otherwise not. Secondly most these discussions have already received quite a lot of responses and I do not see any justice in giving mine. So I therefore concentrate on DISCUSSIONS WITH NO RESPONSES. At least there most of them are awaiting the responses.

If they are of interest yes. But usually by the time we get them I have already responded to the ones that interested me. I love this new feature as I've had a bunch in the digest and it brings them to more members this way getting more responses and friends as well. How is dad doing/feeling now? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

The digest is useful and alerts us to some notable discussions. I am curious though how myLot decides which discussions go into the digest. I browse through every digest that I receive in my email, and usually I end up responding to one or two of the discussions. I answer those discussions that interest me only, and where I feel I can contribute something.

I came to this one through the digest link! I've only been getting it for about a week but I find there are some good discussions on it and I'm participating more in general. I don't answer all the discussions on there but I've found it a good way for me to be more active on here rather than scrolling over discussions I've already seen and going back to ones I'm not interestd in.

I read through them and if I am interested and feel that I have something to add, I do so. I find, however, that that is not often the case. I prefer to look at the Recent Discussions and the New Discussions and then Discussions from Friends.

I didn't initially, but now I pick one or topics a day from it. Some of them have been quite interesting and are ones that I wouldn't have come across otherwise. Sorry to hear about your Dad - hope he's improving.

By the time I get the myLot digest, I have already answered quite a few of them, but I wonder what method they choose for those who are on the digest. I hope it is not the "we are all following the same path" type. I like ones who are either Christians or are interested in Christianity, singing, singers, writing, novelists, cooking, health problems, etc. not just the ones whose interest is mylot, people, life, etc. the kind that do not make waves.

Hi,subha12! Since mylot started this new service,I have never tried to answer all the discussions on the daily digest :P I still keep on my habit--look at discussions from my friends firstly--I don't want to lose the biggest fun I had here.

At this point I have yet to read it! I get a ton of junk mail and the puter I'm using only stays on about 30-45 min at a time so I skip it.

You I do answer for discussions. While discussing, we learn more about life n even make friends, learn new culture. This is exciting.

As you will probably see by reading this response, I get hopelessly behind on answering the discussions from the digest but I do try to go through them and answer those that I feel I can make a contribution to. I really like getting these digests because it gives me a starting point, or at least a place to go to after I check my friends' discussions and the responses to those I've started. Annie

I have never looked into using the digest, how does it function? do you see all the conversations of your friends - or those who have responded to your discussions or comments?

I do enjoy the digest. I will not delete it until I have had an opportunity to read them. I am actually doing that right now. I do not respond to all discussions on the digest. I hope your father is doing better.

I read all the mylot digest discussions since they are the ones that get the most responses. But I can't respond to all of them because quite often some of them are my own discussions and some of my friends discussions and I have already responded to those. I started a discussion about this same issue just today. I received a mylot digest on February 14th, I am a few weeks behind, and out of the 10 discussions 3 of them were mine, 4 of them were posted by my friends and I already responded to them, one was about a topic I couldn't post to and so I was only able to respond to two of them. So it does happen quite often that I can't respond to very many of them.

I do receive the daily myLot Digest e-mail and I love it! I'm very behind now because sometimes I don't have enough time to respond to all of the discussions. I think I'm about a week behind now. The nice thing is that the discussions are always there in my e-mail inbox when I have time to answer them. I can also tell which discussions I've responded to and which I haven't. I actually do answer all of the discussions in the Digest before deleting the e-mail. After I'm done, I'll delete the Digest e-mail for a particular day so I know not to go back to it. I really like the Digest because the majority of the discussions I respond to are from the e-mail! It also gives me great ideas in starting my own discussions. I think the Digest idea was a great idea because you know the Digest is going to include all discussions you are interested in since it goes by your pre-determined list of interests. I think it's an excellent system.
