Do you wear a watch?

I haven't worn a watch in many years. I can't remember the last time I wore one, it's been over six or seven years. I stopped wearing one because I hate how western society is so obsessed about rushing time. I really don't care what time it is and I don't check all the time unless I really need to be somewhere at a certain time other than that I'm not concerned about the time. If I need to know the time I just look at my cell phone. I don't like wearing watches anymore.

I wore it on my right I'm right handed anyway so that seems normal for me.

The only time I wear a watch is when I am dressed professionally. I was taught in my Professional Practices class in college that it doesn't look professional to have to pull out a cell phone to see what time it is. So its been a habit of mine whenever I am dressing for an interview, to wear a watch. But that is the only time that I wear with it. The one that I have, although cute, irritates my wrist. I don't wear it unless absolutely necessary.

That makes sense somewhat I've been to interviews where I didn't wear a watch but I wore long sleeves or a suit jacket so who's going to notice a watch anyway?

As an employer, I always notice if an interviewee is wearing a watch. Especially if the candidate is late.

Hi dreamy1..no I do not wear a watch any longer, not for about eight years at a guess. There is always someone or a object which always seems to be available.Years ago a well known singer song writter in australia wrote a song about time.In the lyrics he writes "Time is a state of mind,a restriction we put on our life, and if the world in its turn can teach me all that its a blessing in disguise".I have found when I take my time,my schedule seems to ajust beautifully.I have a friend who when running late purposely will drive under the speed limit. He has discovered when he does reach his destination wether he is late or not,it appears someone on the other end was held up and he never has to wait..lol.I do hurry sometimes, when I feel the urge, other then that I try just to slow down,I feel time has everything all organized if we allow it to do its work.Perhaps we have become too conditioned and controlling. All is in the timing I guess? "Cheers"

I agree that's why I stopped wearing it I don't want to be controlled by time. Everything happens in it's on time no need to rush it.

Yes I do wear one because I have to. You see it was a present from my husband and he gets upset if I dont wear it. I like wearing it but it gets on my nerves every time I wash dishes or have a bath or shower I hate wearing it then, but I end up taking it off and forget in so my husband has another fit "I got you a present and you dont even wear it" sort of thing. But lately I hardly ever take it out and I am used to it.

If my man had an attitude like that I'd tell him he could take the thing back. I can understand especially if he paid a lot of money for it but it's a gift and a gift should be used however you want.

Since the day I bought my first cell phone I never worn any watch anymore. As my cell phone always has time and date displayed clearly, it is not necessary for me to carry a watch around. Moreover I feel uneasy to wear a watch on my wrist as the sweat always makes it sticky to the skin, especially during a hot day.

I don't wear a watch. Whenever there is a need to know the time I look out for my cell phone. but there are situations when i had to wear the watch: This situation comes during exams when Mobiles are not allowed in the examination halls and I have to keep a watch over the time that I am devoting to different questions.

I know this sounds weird but not only do I 'wear' a watch I almost NEVER take it off. Because of the leather band I take it off for showers and that is about it. I wear it to bed and wherever I am. It's just a habit I guess. Thanks Zelo

I also don't like the rushed or fast-paced lifestyle, but I still wear a wristwatch. It has become less important though because of cellphones, so when I'm in a hurry sometimes I don't bother to put on my watch.

yup I wear a watch each time I'm out, used to it I guess. I could check my mobile phone but it's always in my bag, I only use it to see the time when I'm not wearing my watch.

I used to wear watches when I was younger. But the ones I ever got weren't water proof. So sometimes it would have moisture in side of it and fog up. It was very annoying. And also they would always slide around on my wrist and would get it banged up on things. Nowadays I really have no need for it. I always have my cell phone handy as well to check the time.

Before I used to wear everyday. In or out of the house I wear it. when sometimes before I forget my watch at home, I really go back even if it'll take me long just to have my watch with me. But few years after, probably late high school years, I started using my cellphone as my watch and alarm clock. until now, I prefer my phone as my clock. I don't wear any jewelry on my body except my toe and thumb ring.

I haven't worn a watch in a number of years. I miss having it on my wrist occasionally, but like you said, I can look at my cell phone. Actually, a lot of the metal on the watches will give me a rash - even with a leather strap the face is still metal. The plastic watches aren't real attractive to wear professionally, so I quit wearing one to work.

I often wear a watch. I need to wear one especially at work. I teach in one of the universities here in our city and I really have to be very conscious about time so as not to be late in my class. I also do not want to extend my lectures beyond the hour.
