Do you take a bath/shower, even you didn't have enough sleep?

I am just wondering about it, because I always have no enough sleep this past few months. I am spending a lot of times with my clerical jobs and online works. I sometimes get only 5 - 7 hours a day. My mother always advice me not to take a bath if I don't get enough sleep. There are times, I do follow here, but most of the time, I didn't. I feel very uncomfortable if I can't take a bath in a day. Do you think, it is not healthy to take a bath if you didn't have enough sleep? If it is bad for health, do you still take a bath during those times you have enough sleep?

taking a bath with only 2 hours of sleep, well, that I would not do. I have tried it before, and the result, it makes me feel dizzy. :-)

bathtub - taking bath
It is not related. You can take a shower anytime and it is very important to take a shover everyday. As far as taking bath in the tub, it is not safe to fall asleep when bathing.... Good baths can be enjoyable, but they are potentially hazardous too. All that steam and the fact that your body is relaxing totally can just make you feel drowsy and doze off.

I take a shower at least once every 24 hours regardless. When you don't sleep, you are tired, taking shower can be very refreshing.... I wouldn't take bath if I don't sleep at all.

Thanks for the response. Me, too, I used to take a bath everyday and that is every morning after I am done with all my chores at home. :-)

Hello Polachicago, I was shock with your response, lol. Maybe because I didn't expect a response that goes like this. So you mean you take a shower even you don't have enough sleep, or even you when you are very tired. What if you are not able to sleep for 24 hours straight, do you still take a bath because you want to?

I don’t think there is any relation between the amount of sleep and having shower. What’s more showering is not a strained job so it won’t make any harm to our body. People here, like me in tropical climate are used to take shower once or twice a day, even just after doing some hard work. For me, if I get tired and boring with my work but don’t have time to sleep I will then take a shower so as to get myself refreshed.

I have also observed that in television that some do get shower even after a hard work. And even they don't have enough sleep. That is why, it confused me. It made me wonder because here in our place, most of the mothers do advice their children and their husband not to take a bath when got no enough sleep. I wonder what is the true explanation about it. If it is hazardous to health or not. Anyway have good day!:-)

They say it's bad for our health but what can i do.c",)

It would be a must for me to take a bath in spite of lack of sleep if I have to go to work. I don't want to stink in my workplace. hehehe. I have also experience shifting schedule. If I am on dayshift, I used to take a bath every morning and no worries about it because I can get enough sleep. But when I was at night shift, I find it hard to sleep on daytime, as I am not accustomed to, so I always didn't enough time to sleep, but I still take a bath before I go to work.

I have never heard about this before, not to take a bath when tired. Have you ever asked her why she says this? I just don't get it, understand, why she would say this. I can see maybe not taking a shower, because if your too tired you could maybe fall down and hurt yourself, but a bath you are already laying down. I like to take a shower in the morning, whether I am tired or not. And when I am tired, it wakes me up so then I can get on with my day easier, being as I am more alert because I am awake. So, no I can't say I have ever heard of this before or understand where your mother is coming from with this statement.

It is not only my mother who told this, but all the other people around. That kinda confuse me, but here, they do believe that, they have explanation but then hard to explain as I don't know what exact terms to use. Lol, my english is so limited. Thank for the response Chrislotz, enjoy your day today!

Hello dear honeylore. I love to take a shower when I do not have a good sleep because a shower in the morning after getting up, even if I do not sleep well, would help make me more energetic and refreshed. I love morning showers as always.

If I have not gotten enough sleep, I wipe down with baby wipes. I do have to wash my hair everyday though, or it gets really oily. I didn't used to have to do this, but since my hair has gotten so long(my hair is one and a half inches from reaching my waist), I have to. I am one of those people though that has to have my sleep.

I like to take showers if I've gotten not enough sleep it helps me feel awake but to lay in a bath I could see how you would get sleepy and it might become dangerous
