Last night, I waited for the Lunar Eclipse. I know it's not that significant and I somehow know what to expect and see. I was just wanted to stay up and see it because... as they say it happens once in a blue moon. It will happen again in December of 2010. But somehow, it's the urban legend that I am more interested in. They say that everytime there is a lunar eclipse, something bad will happen. I wonder if it is true or I should believe it. What do you think? Is superstitious beliefs still significant in this hi-tech world that we live in?

I'm not superstitious. I don't believe in ghost in the way people do. There are always scientific explanation about "supernatural" phenomena. I don't know legend about Lunar Eclipse. But the moon do affects living creatures in the earth, especially human. It's gravity attracts any liquid material in the earth, include in the human body. This will be increased in the full moon. You know, human body contains water about 70%. If the liquid part is attracted to the upper part of the human body, it will affect and disturb our mental balance. So, in the full moon usually we are more emotional than in the other days.

Oh, I get it now. My husband is usually not in the best mood every full moon... he is always crabby and cranky and too sensitive. He always blames it on the moon. And sometimes I get mad at him because I was thinking that he is only using it as an alibi because he does hurt me everytime. I'm not cranky at full moon but it really is strange for me when he replied to that way. Anyway, I learned a lot from you. Thanks, it's nice to know about this. I really appreciate it. Take care.

It's a pity that we can't see lunar eclipse here,in canton. superstitious beliefs sometimes may work, you know. we believe in superstition because we all have history.

I taught Asian History in High School and I just love the history of China... so colorful and very interesting. Well, I'm sorry that you didn't get the chance to see it because of time zone. Anyway, thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
