What I do with my spaghetti sauce first I saute the garlic, onions and lots of tomatoes... then once the tomatoes are soft and overcooked... I add in the tomato sauce/ ready made tomato sauce...then I put in either ground beef or tuna... then I stir it well and let it boil... once its thick... I add a little basil, olives, and cheese... then i pour the sauce above the pasta, I hate it when others mix the sauce and pasta in the pot, cause sometimes it comes out dry, and the noodles have already absorbed the sauce... oh well.. I'm looking for something else... would anyone care to share their recipe for spaghetti sauce???

one thing I like to do is add chili powder to my sauce. Not allot just a little bit to add some spice to it.

I also add a small can of tomato paste and a pinch of sugar after the onions garlic and tomatoes are soft. It adds richness to the sauce. Like you I don't like to mix the pasta and sauce in the pot. I add a little butter to the noodles, then put them on the plate and then add the sauce. When I use tuna I also add some sour cream when the sauce is ready. It makes a lovely pink sauce. I sprinkle some chopped parsley on it when I plate it.

ooooh, that sounds yummy... sometimes when there isn't enough cheese to grate, I melt them in milk and allow them to thicken up... it serves as the cheese on top... it also makes a lovely pink color once you mix it on your plate... I love cheese on my spaghetti

Have you ever tried mixing a little sausage with the ground beef? We tried it one time and it came out really good, and different! This next time I'm going to try Italian sausage, and see how it tastes!
